    Weed, a value retaining asset?!

Hello my fellow green thumbs In an ever increasing world of risk and currency bailouts and defaults. I had an interesting idea. For the next few years, the country im in will be in financial trouble and may even well bankrupt. Lots are moving thier money out but all currencies are at a risk...

My idea of a DIY heat exchanger for your lights...

Does anyone know how this ended or have a good reference of similar? I'm looking to do something similar to try cool ambient temp air in my room using water about 18C celcius. I may be able to get colder water by leaving the cooling Res outside suring these cold months. (often freezes!)

I thought this was an incredible post to find in the old post searching i do. I think it deserves a bump! Anybody got any updated opinions on these myths? I was thinking of one regards #1. From all the reasoning i've heard and science i know. Since energy never dissappears, It must come from a...

Can we get an LED lighting subsection under Indoor Growing?

I'd also like to voice my support for this. Its akin to CFLs and is widely believed to become the next major lighting system.

    Guerrila Forum

I think it would be a little use forum in comparison to some, but i'd also like to request this new forum. I grow outdoors but my limitations and experiences are quite different given the circumstances to a normal outdoor crop. Particularly security, transport, harvesting, location finding etc...

Completely sealed grow room ventilation help.

I dont know if i overlooked something. But have you considered using some cooltubes on your lights. Intaking from one of the 4" pipes and exhuasting out the other. It would be a closed loop so your CO2 and conditions would not be effected. The 4" of course would not cool the lights down to be...

Large tents. No experience. Advice welcome.

I've been lucky enough to have a chance to grow in a large bedroom of a rented apartment. With this in mind, I thought 'great, finally some real space'.. Then i realised all my experience is with growing small 2-3 foot plants and i've no idea how to do anything else! :) I've decided to purchase...

    grow house

Hey. Do you mind if i ask why you think solar and not wind? I never understood this. Solar is low in winter, and non existant at night (10 hours?). Where as wind is nearly 24/7 possible. Wouldnt this be drastically more power if a wind turbine is possible on site?

    Temperature rise after better ventilation..

@ PeyoteReligion, Thanks for the info regards fan position. Yes I just harvested and the clones are tiny. about 3-4 inches. I have noticed my humidity is now 37% instead of 55%-60% when my canopy was larger. Perhaps all this is just a cumalitive effect of the radiant heat build up + canopy...

No luck yet.. Still reads 30C. I returned the old system to use. Hopefully it comes back down.... What are the odds that the thermoter may suddenily be out by a few degrees? its a 25$ digital. max n min humidity and temp. the white one that everyone seems to have. Query: does the position of...

    Temperature rise after better ventilation..

I spent the whole night thinking about the issue and came to a possible conclusion. It looks like the heat has no where to go to so its heating up my apartment. Great but then the intake for the room eventually intakes this air, exhausts it, reintakes it. Eventually just adding heat with no...

    Temperature rise after better ventilation..

The duct run is the same length as before to the first duct hole. The second hole is an extension onto the existing duct lengths.(using a T split) If the temperature stay high tonight. I may change it back to the old set up just to check that its the pulling of air in system that is causing the...

    Temperature rise after better ventilation..

Hey fellow growers. I am having an issue with temperatures that has me confused. I changed my ventilation setup. Old setup: 6 inch fan pulling room temperature air through a closed loop with 2*600 watts and exhausting it outside the building through a 3inch duct. New setup: 6 inch fan...

    modified lighting setup/schedule

Hey, this idea should be fine. It will work without problems caused by the change of lighting. Its no different than heavy clouds blocking the a bright sun. As long as there is enough light so that light hits most of the plants even at low levels, it will stop it from flowering and continue to...

Looking for input on how people are using fans inside?

I am planning to put a oscillating fan at each end of the room. One fan is nearly enough to get through all that plant. If each fan is put on a different speed (most are speed 0-4). then they will always move plants in both directions and mix the current of air randomily enough.
