So there's a fire near my house... and it's raining ash

I'm in the Santa Barbara area where the ash is thick from the La Brea Fire in Santa Maria, so i know what you mean about ash coming down. Since your not flowering yet it won't hurt them. You can give them a little spray of water to clean them up if you want, but I wouldn't sweat it if I were...

    Heading up I 5

I'm heading up to see my sister in southern Oregon next week, and I want to pick up some knew strains. What are some clubs in Norcal; Sac., Stockton, Redding, etc., that have a good selection of clones? Preferably along the I 5 but I could make a detour if I think it is worth it. I'm looking for...

a big hairy spider and little red dots on my plants

Aside from it biting you, it can't do any harm. I'd just leave it alone, it might kill some of the bad bugs that would eat your plant.

How to disguise marijuana CHEAPLY and SUCCESSFULLY

Be careful with the morning glories, they will strangle the plants as well as completely block them from the sun. MJ will be camoed well but the M G grow so fast that you will need to trim it at least once a week. I have a few in the M G and I check them daily and always find vines wrapping...

    Plant flowering now

Was it started indoor under lights, at 18 on 6 off? If so, it could be that the change in lighting hours kicked it into flower.

    o4's 2008/2009 monster attempt..:-)

I just wanted to stop in and offer my props. I have been quietly observing since the begining and wanted to let you know that your past couple grows inspired me, and everyone else that grows under the sun, to dig some deep holes and let nature take its course(along with a lot of love). Your...

    Is this a good mix?

It looks like good stuff! It depends on the size of your pots or holes and how much sun it gets as to what to add, more coco or more perlite ect. But the basics sound good.

    Fish GUTSSSS!!!!!!!!!! +rep

I've got one hole with about five lbs. of salmon and halibut parts and another hole with about five lbs. of shrimp heads and shells, both buried roughly 2 feet deep. I put the seedlings on them about two weeks ago. They are now over two feet tall with no signs of flowering. Lets hope it stays...

    Subcool's Super Soil

"The Perlite and Coco I happen to have and it will make a better mix but it is not necessary." I read in your first post on this thread about it making a "better mix". Just wanted to see if there was a specific amount. Thanks for your time.

    Subcool's Super Soil

Hey Sub. Thanks for this tutorial. It's been an extremely informative read and many of my questions have already been answered. But the one that I'm still wondering about is the ratio of perlite that you use in the Super Soil? I've been using the roots organics soil for a couple of years...

    indoor vegging

Let me put it this way. What is the light schedule that is often used for vegging indoor, for moving outdoor? I know that many outdoor growers start their plants indoor so that the plants will have some decent size and a head start on the growing season. Do people veg under 18-6? Help a noob out.

    going from 18-6 to outside

permalink I am new to indoor vegging and still trying to smooth out the bumps. I've been vegging my mothers, clones, and seedlings under a 400w MH at 18-6. I want to move some of them outside. Will they start flowering from the light difference, going from 18-6 indoor to 14-10 outdoor? What is...
