It's a weed, not every kind is the same. It wont do anything to your plant but make it unique.

1. drain water 2. Clean with a mixture of water/ bleach 80/20 3. wash it with normal water then 4. let it dry or dry yourself Good Luck

If termites are everywhere and they are a problem than.... yes.. it would... idk if it will hurt the plant but get some insecticide.
