Ok correct me if I'm wrong, kinda hard to read what you posted... but you said your ph is at 7? For hydro you need that much lower, i keep my ph between 5.7-5.9 at all times. 5.8 being the sweet spot, you also stated your using co2? But you have exhaust going on, where is your exhaust located...

If all you have to choose from is mh or cfl go with the mh. It wont yield as much as an hps but def will more than cfls. MH in flower is said to make the buds quality better than a hps, don't know first hand though.

Do not trim, you've stress them out enough. I would suggest getting those temps down too, you generally only want it that hot if you have high levels of co2 . You need to let them be, get the temps down!

I would get the 4x4, and a lot of the time the tents have intake/exaust holes already made. The only thing i would be concerned about is how sealed the closet is, if it is i'd keep it open if not well you'll just have to be the judge of that. I would avoid putting holes in the wall altogether...
