Don't take it wrong man, you'll still grow some bomb buds. I love my T5s, just shit for light penetration so its best to have an even canopy with the scrog method. Best way to yield decent with em.

I used a t5 8 bulb 4 footer, 54 watts each total of 432 watts. I flowered two plants and got about 3 zips, you should really scrog if your using T5s through flower, (wish i did) otherwise its not worth it imo. I've seen t5 scrog journals where people get as much as 8 zips. I only use my t5...

Use the same system your friend is using, it'll be easier for you to work with sense you can use his as an example and go to guide when things may go wrong. But to each his own, every system has their perks. After you do a run or two with that, then start to look into DWC or other more complex...

I don't think its ever been available in seeds either, at least through him. I've grown his Dream Lotus and Goji Og, both great strains. It seems like 90% or more he uses SL to breed. idk was hoping a guru knew of somewhere in the states its in.

Yeah I'd say go auto as well, since there isn't much room in there make sure to limit the size of your pots or w/e you use, maybe even consider a scrog net to go ontop of there so they don't get too tall.

love goji og, you should try out bodhi dream lotus. Yields pretty good looks smells and tastes amazing. Even got purple on some of my buds and didn't even get the temps low. I got 3 in flower right now, about 2 weeks in.

I'm on my first vert grow, why do you want the light to be above the tallest so high? I just switched to 12/12 2 weeks ago, also using a cooltube with a 1k.
