    Inline fan ?

Gotta say: if you want a quiet fan don't buy a growbright fan from htgsupply. I got their 170cfm 4" fan + filter combo and it sounds like the bathroom fan from hell--it is powerful though! I've read that buying a fan speed controller will probably do you the most good as far as noise goes...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

I think you might wanna consider giving normal ferts to your control group, just in case the fish tank water doesn't work well. If you have a group that you gave normal ferts to then at least you will get some decent plants from your control group so it won't be a total waste of time...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

Thanks, and nice to see that you doing a controlled experiment! I subscribed to this thread. You may wanna pick up a nitrate test at your pet store (or ebay, prolly cheaper there) just to get an idea of what your water is like if you haven't already. The paper strip type tests aren't as...

The Never Ending Abuse of Phosphorous (Bloom foods) to Enhance Flowering

I've got a couple of plants in flower right now that are starting to look N deficient and drop leaves well before they should. I've been feeding them only low doses of N because I was afraid of messing with my buds. I'm glad I found this post so I can feel good about giving my ladies what they...

Are japanes flying beetles very bad?

Yeah, the japanese flying beetles that came up on google didn't look anything like ladybugs. Most ladybugs you see nowadays are the introduced asian/japanese ladybug (they have a few common names), which isn't harmful. Here is a list of ladybug beetles (family Coccinellidae) in Oklahoma, in...

    Lotsa spots, Bugs?

I have the same problem with one of my plants. None of the others look like it and there are no signs of bugs. I thought it was a pH problem so I watered with pHed water and it went away for a little while...now it's starting to get spotty again. I'll let you know if I figure out what it is...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

Been awhile since I've checked this thread, but thanks for all the rep and stuff! I really wish I had discus and marine aquariums, but I move just about every year so I've opted for cheaper, hardier fish. I'm down to one 55 gal with some big angelfish and one 29 gal with livebearers. Used to...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

If you have an established aquarium you will not have ammonia or nitrite (The cycle is ammonia>nitrite>nitrate, with different species of bacteria contributing to each step) unless something fucked up happened like a fish died. It's true that most nitration takes place in the biofilter, but...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

Carbon won't absorb nitrogenous wastes, just stuff like heavy metals (lead, etc.) and medication. It also does not absorb trace elements that your plants needs. Zeolite, the stuff that looks like little white rocks, will absorb ammonia and nitrogenous wastes though, the brand name is ammo-carb...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

Hi again: I did a little googling on using aquarium water for normal house plants. A lot of people use them for their outdoor gardens, but some people even use them for finicky plants like orchids. Most people say that if you are good about changing your tank water your plants will be fine...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

I've used water from my fish tank for MJ but it was when I first started growing so I really didn't know wtf I was doing. I did find that my plants seemed to like it better when I did tank water every other watering. I'd love to see your results with this because I want to try this method...

    Aquarium water=fish emulsion?

Fish emulsion fertilizer is made from actual fish, not fish waste from fish tanks. Both are high N fertilizers, but the actual concentration of your fish tank water, of course, will vary. http://www.rainyside.com/resources/fishfert.html

I can't believe the disinformation in this article!!!

Oh, come on guys, they don't sell that $2,400 an oz pure. They cut that shit up with oregano and pimp it out to grade schoolers. Haven't you ever sold weed before? DUH!

Call yourself out..What was your biggest mistake??

Yeah, and you know one of my biggest mistakes was listening to those old stoner's tales about growing weed. I should have known better because I used to grow mushrooms before and learned that people who haven't done it have NO fucking clue what they are talking about! People will say things...

Call yourself out..What was your biggest mistake??

I'm glad I can get this off my chest now, lol, because my entire first grow was a giant uninformed disaster!!! I had a box with five 4' fluorescent tubes in it which was lined with aluminum foil. The thing had no ventilation except a big hole that the power cord was coming out and the room got...

    New grow room set up

Hi, and welcome to rollitup! Setting up a grow room is a lot more expensive than you think, what is your budget looking like? Don't forget you're going to need about a zillion other things besides your light and fan (pH adjustment, nutrients, soil, etc). Not all of these items are expensive...

    Plant Issue (Poor little guy)

Those squiggly lines in your leaves are leaf miners. The larvae of a tiny black fly eat tunnels in your leaves. Discard of all affected leaves immediately and spray with neem or wash with horticultural soap. Good luck!
