Correct me if I'm wrong but dosent a ballast use roughly 10% of the power that goes to the bulb? That's how I was told, a 600w ballast uses 60w, 1000 uses 100w. I think he (the guy who told me this) uses digital ballasts.

I don't know what 200 AUD converts to, but an apollo 4 would cost ya 200 usd (about) from the factory in china, it's a 5 band model. Then getting it shipped would probably be another 20 or so. An apollo 4 would cover a 3x3 area max (1.13m^2 @ 1m above canopy) and it draws 130w. Blackstar panels...

If the fan would be sucking from the sides it would be sucking in more moisture than with the intake up top. If your fan is sacking out the top of the room like it should be then the hot air will sucked up to it anyways.
