Aqua Illumination Vega, an Aquarium LED used for Growing?!?!

Aquastyleonline.com sells red diodes too. 420 and 450, I'm going to order one of these. It looks real promising.

Aqua Illumination Vega, an Aquarium LED used for Growing?!?!

Im going to take a look at that. And I was going to mix all of the different whites I can, and then supplement red in with it. I have all my specific wavelengths written down somewhere... I'll post them when I get off work.

What led panel do you use? Those buds look good. I want to look at the spectrum that the manufacturer uses because I have been building my own panels now and I'm going to put a few different configurations side by side to see what's better. Then test why. Thanks for your help man

LED Grow light advice for a newbie

Some people don't like to post information about committing a felony online. Just saying... some people know more than it seems. I listen to everybody and do my own research to figure out what's bs and what isnt That said, LED panels are still buyer beware, do ALOT of research before you buy...

Which is better organic Soil Mix- Advice Please-Autoflower Balcony Grow

I would go with the first bag and add like 30% vermicomposting (castings) and some perlite depending on how much expanded clay you've got. Throw what you have in and maybe add some kelp meal, seabird guano, and some bat guano (with high P, K). If you prefer not to use guano then I would use...

Aqua Illumination Vega, an Aquarium LED used for Growing?!?!

I mix red, blue, and whites in my panels, mine are apollo models that I source from the factory. I'm going to try my next one with all red and white with no blues at all (maybe one out of 15 just to have it)

What sort of light should I use if I'm only growing 2 plants max?

Fluorescent shop lights ( t8 ). or t5 high output fluorescent are both pretty low heat and produce good results. T5 is more expensive but is better, the t8 lights are cheap and give some good smoke too. I prefer those over cfl lights because they are more efficient than cfl and spread the light...

    LED heat VS HPS heat?

Correct me if I'm wrong but dosent a ballast use roughly 10% of the power that goes to the bulb? That's how I was told, a 600w ballast uses 60w, 1000 uses 100w. I think he (the guy who told me this) uses digital ballasts.

Aqua Illumination Vega, an Aquarium LED used for Growing?!?!

I wonder if they would use red diodes and make good panels for us indoor vegetable gardeners if somebody asked.

Lighthouse Hydro is doing it wrong.

I don't wanna argue and jack this thread, but while that is true, I bet your grow room is more humid than your house, and air conditioners don't spray the waste water (that was removed from the ambient air) back into the air. I also don't think that a refrigerator's compressor sprays water in...

    LED heat VS HPS heat?

With 270w of power confirmed going to the lights I can close my tent up with the inline fan off, with the outside temp at 70 my tent got up to I think 83 all closed up, it took like an hour to heat up. I have had different grow cabinets heat up more than that with 120w of cfls and 3 pc fans for...

Lighthouse Hydro is doing it wrong.

That is true, but those weren't designed to be used in an environment where water is sprayed around often and moisture buildup is common.

    450w LED

What size is the box? With leds I like to cram as much light in as possible because heat really is a nonissue. More leds more buds.

I love my apollo led lights, thy are Chinese though but not a rip off. They are very affordable and the factory honors their warranty quickly. It's a 3 year warranty too. LED Grow light advice for a newbie

I don't know what 200 AUD converts to, but an apollo 4 would cost ya 200 usd (about) from the factory in china, it's a 5 band model. Then getting it shipped would probably be another 20 or so. An apollo 4 would cover a 3x3 area max (1.13m^2 @ 1m above canopy) and it draws 130w. Blackstar panels...

Lighthouse Hydro is doing it wrong.

If the fan would be sucking from the sides it would be sucking in more moisture than with the intake up top. If your fan is sacking out the top of the room like it should be then the hot air will sucked up to it anyways.

    compost tea smelled bad

It's not good for them, unless the bud molds its not a big deal really, foliar feeding late into flowering sometimes is a bad idea also. Don't ever use bad tea again though, all sorts of bad shit can be in there.

How Long Does Organic Tea Last?

I brew 5 gallons and use it over 3 days. I add a little food (molasses, syrup, ... Meal) every day extra that I keep it going. I hate airstones for that reason, I use a pvc pipe that I've drilled a bunch of little holes in and hooked up 2 aquarium air pumps too. I also have a water pump...
