clay, do you have any links or info on exactly what happens by adding molasses? seems to me if it is just because you are adding a thick natural syrup, why couldn't you use pure maple syrup, or honey, etc ?

they taste like crap when wet and fresh (even mixed with Manwich sandwich sauce straight from the can can't make em palatable), but they work :-)

great experiment, thanks for documenting it. what type of CFLs are you using? the cool ones (6500K) are good for vegging I hear, but did you switch out to warmer bulbs (~2700K) for flowering?

if you've had that setup for a few days without burning them you should be OK as long as the temp doesn't skyrocket. if you can put your hand under the light at leaf-top level and not feel like your hand is burning is a good measure. of course, as they are growing each day you will have to...
