    Seedling Leaves won't open?

    Hey, hey, hey... My other seedling is doing just fine, and I was just asking a question to clarify things.... No need to get all Debby Downer on me...

    Seedling Leaves won't open?

    I think I'll wait until tomorrow morning. If it doesn't show any signs of coming off before then, I'll try to pry it off a bit. The cotyledons aren't fully green either, but I think this is probably due to it not opening up well yet. Eek!

    Seedling Leaves won't open?

    The shell is already on the soil near the base there :) I guess you meant "shell" as in, "all parts of the shell, including that piece still on the plant there" I'll turn this into a grow journal once I know she isn't dead :)

    Seedling Leaves won't open?

    Check out the pic - she just sprouted about 24 hours ago. It looks to me like there is some leftover material from the seed that has wrapped around the baby leaves? What do you guys think? Temps: 70 F RH: 70% pH: low 6's Thanks guys... I want to know - should I carefully remove that yellow...

    1 x Super Lemon Haze {CFL}{Soil}{Indoor}{5gal}

    Hey, I'm fairly sure I just didn't water properly, and my water had a messed up pH. I've got some seeds germing now, and I will do it right this time... Hahah it's a piss off, but I guess I learned my lesson. About the light... Right now it's like 8 inches away, but within like 2 days of it...

    Does citric acid (lemon juice?) evaporate quickly?

    So, I had about 1 liter of water, and I left it out for 24 hours. The pH after 24 hours was around 8.0. Using lemon juice, I ph-ed it to 6.0. I used some of this to germ seeds. In another 24 hours, that same water had a pH again quite high (over 7.0). I used a typical popcorn-sized bowl to...

    marijunana ... spell oops in the logo

    I think it has been discussed many times over the months - I know people are aware, but not what they are/aren't planning to do about it!

    CFL – Seedling? Help!

    10 cm is too far for a newly sprouted plant? Like, the day my seed sprouts, how far should a 42w 6500K cfl be? RIght now my CFL is like 8 inches away. Too far? I read somewhere that I should start my CFL out a little further away, and then slowly bring it closer over the course of 3-4 days...

    Initial Watering - How wet?

    Excellent, that's good info. mix, eh? wouldn't that kinda turn my soil into a muddy state? I was kinda thinking just putting my soil into the cup, adding enough water all around the top until some water starts to drip through the bottom, then putting in the germed seed (3/8th inch down).

    Initial Watering - How wet?

    Thanks for the info (both of you guys who responded)! To initially "moisten" the soil, what do you do? Last time (obviously I screwed up my last sprout :( ), I kept spraying the soil with a spray bottle as I put the soil into the cup. No water ever left the bottom of the cup (more than enough...

    1 x Super Lemon Haze {CFL}{Soil}{Indoor}{5gal}

    Day X: Hazel is dead. I fucked up. Not sure how or why, but it had slow growth, then a yellowing baby leaf, then the plant bent over, ultimately just lying back on the rockwool (fell over completely), with everything deformed. I'm gonna germ and sprout once more and update this journal maybe...

    Initial Watering - How wet?

    Hey, so I have about a 750 ml cup filled about 1 inch from the top with new soil (lambert's all purpose potting mix, has perlite, humic acids, and some other stuff). How much (properly ph-ed) water should I add to this soil the first time I water it? Do I want water to drip out of the bottom...

    Take a look at my cotyledons!

    This pic is from a plant on Day 4. I think it looks pretty small for Day 4. Temps are pretty constant at 70 degrees F, humidity is around 70%, it's in rockwool, and I've given it a small-decent amount of ph-ed water. What could be the cause of this yellowing? Thanks for the advice.

    1 x Super Lemon Haze {CFL}{Soil}{Indoor}{5gal}

    Thanks for the reassurance, man. Although, things seem to be worsening - check it out. Day 4: I guess things have to get worse before they get better, huh... After getting home from work today, I see that one of the cotyledon's on Hazel is turning a yellowy-brown colour. It's the smaller of...

    Is my seedling thirsty (with pic)?

    My first post was pretty wordy. My basic question: I have a 2& half day old, 1 inch seedling with a tap root that extends 3/4 inch out the BOTTOM of a 1 inch rockwool. Is the root really stretching for water at that rate, or is this normal? Thanks.

    Is my seedling thirsty (with pic)?

    Hey, so I also asked this in my grow journal (check my sig), but I wanted to get some ideas on this before I went to bed tonight. The seedling was only about 1 inch tall, and the fan leaves are still pretty small, so I assumed there wouldn't be much root growth. WRONG! I lifted the rockwool...

    1 x Super Lemon Haze {CFL}{Soil}{Indoor}{5gal}

    Responses: That looks awesome - nice and healthy. Thanks for those pics! I'll have something to look back on in a few weeks once I've veged for that long. Day 3: My little seedling hasn't done much of anything today... or so I thought! The fan leaves got ever so larger, but it's very...

    1 x Super Lemon Haze {CFL}{Soil}{Indoor}{5gal}

    Awesome man, thanks! Do you have a journal of your own for that SLH, or will you just toss a few pics in my thread here from time to time for comparison? Good luck with the SLH! Also, just curious, how old is your SLH?

    Help me:) please anyone??

    If your parents a cool with it, just try to grow a plant or two nice and small just to hone your skills. Honestly though, your best advice is to plan a grow like a month or two from now, and spend the majority of your free time just scouring these forums. That's what I did, and I'm pretty...

    1 x Super Lemon Haze {CFL}{Soil}{Indoor}{5gal}

    Day 2: I think things are going okay - I think. The two fan leaves are growing nice and slow, and the steam leaned into my light, so I rotated my pot 180 degrees or so, hoping it will bend a bit back. Temperature and humidity are pretty constant: 70 degrees F and 70% humidity. When should I...
