F1 crosses are typically not stable, you might want to keep some extra pollen and backcross your best female F1 with your original badass male pollen to lock down those traits so you have some decent stable genetics

Same breeder? Could have just selected plants with other traits or characteristics that were more important to them, but in all honesty if your plants look healthy you should be lucky to not have a pungent smell and your just entering flowering, it should get more pungent.

I've noticed smell is pretty much strain specific, I've had a couple of grows that didn't smell

I don't mean this to be rude, but the sun puts out way more light than any bulb you can buy, and your outside plant doesn't seem to be bothered by the powerful sun
