Startin from seed, l had top feed mine (but they were in on flood tables, no rockwool)...if no rockwool then l'd top feed them until roots were at the waterline...they sell bags of pure perlite at walmart, can snag one for about 6 bucks....be alot easier than tryin to rinse off the dirt lol l...

Similar to what saerimner said, gravity fed ebb&flow would be a good set up. Twice a day, lift the reservoir above the flood table and let it drain and sit for about 15 mins then lower it back on the ground

No the spectrum really doesn't matter at all, you could mix and match at any time and it really wouldn't make a difference...schedule, growth stage, none of those factors matter.

l'd let the soil be a little moist, close to ready to water again (but not bone dry)...that way you can repack and water after the transplant, and you should be A-ok
