    White Widow, Week 4, Problems

Leaves will yellow and die pretty much constantly through flowering. By the time you harvest you'll have lost most of the large fan leaves. The plant is using up the nutrients stored in the leaves to put extra energy into growing the buds, and as those nutrients get used up, the leaf dies...

Please Help! Brown Spots Near Edges Of Leaf!

Need pictures, but it could be nutrient burn. And yes, you can overdo pretty much any fertilizer. Some strains will be more tolerant of high concentrations, which could explain why your Chemdog is fine but the Shishkaberry is not.

4 Months old, No signs of sex?

Your lighting looks to be completely inadequate, 125 watts from CFLs is not a lot of light. That plant is absolutely tiny for four months old. My plants are half as old and five feet tall. Also, why did you grow under 12/12 from seed? Unless you want to harvest the plant when it's 10 inches...

i have 2 balls beside pistils!?!?!?

Worst that happens is that it pollinates every plant in your room and you get seeds in all your bud and lower yield. And yes, the red light from the power strip could potentially be the culprit. Red/orange light is the spectrum most important in flowering, so that's the worst kind of light to...

Showing signs of too much light with 250W HPS

The intense light causes a ton of heat in the air which can damage the plants through convection, plus the direct heat through radiation. Convection isn't a problem unless your air is stagnant and the temps in your grow room get really high. Radiation is a problem whenever the heat being...

perlite floating to top and plants get too much water

You want just enough drainage that the water doesn't pool up when you water. That causes the soil to separate out as the lighter bits float to the top, as you've seen. Too much drainage and the soil won't get a good soak before draining out. Neither are going to hurt your plants, it's just...

    Leaf problems Help Please

4 months indoors and you're not even flowering yet? Most strains will go from seed to harvest in less time that, and vegging for more than a month indoors is uncommon. Anyway, you've got some pretty nasty nutrient burn. Back off your nutrients and go do some research so you'll have at least...

    WTF is goin on?

Organic definitely has its benefits, but inorganic nutes are fine as long as you flush properly. I'm gonna look into those organic bloom enhancers, though. I kind of want to do my next grow full organic and see how my ladies do. I've got some Super Lemon Haze and AK-47 seeds on the way, it's...

    Odd problem...Help?

Do not use miracle grow, it's horrible. Looks like the MG soil is burning your babies.

perlite floating to top and plants get too much water

Sounds like you may have poor drainage. It's natural for some of the perlite to come to the top, but if the water is pooling up to the point that it's all coming out, then you want to see about getting the water to drain faster.

You're overwatering. Only water them when the top of the soil is dry and the pot feels light.

    18/6 the last 2 weeks?

I'm only going to say one thing about the argument. Cali.Grown>408 is basically saying "I did X, and the plants did well, so X must be better than the alternative that I haven't tried." You even said that you had no evidence to back it up and that nobody told you to do this, so it seems like...

    18/6 the last 2 weeks?

Well, back to the OP's question. If you put your babies on 18/6 for 2 weeks I'll guarantee you they'll go back into veg and your buds will just stop growing. Absolutely do not do it. Maintain 12/12 until the end. There's some debate about whether or not a 24-72 hour dark period at the end...

    Bud Density

I'm also seeing a lot of spotting on the leaves which could be a result of the miracle grow. That stuff is seriously bad for cannabis, never use it again.

My DIY carbon filter will it work

When you don't get a response it usually means one of the following things: 1. You've asked a common question that's been answered many times before. 2. You just need to wait a little longer. This isn't a customer support hotline, you shouldn't expect rapid responses. You did a bit of both...
