Flowering Period Light and Dark Times

its about the ratio of light to dark times, not the absolute amount of darkness. you could do 6/6, 8/8, 12/12 or maybe even 24/24 or 1/1.

    The 12-12 From Seed Thread

probably, but i'd stick to a very plain vinegar. not sure what the apple cider adds to it or if the plants will like it. i use white vinegar, a few drops per gallon.

"Smart" power meters from utility co.

your power usage data is somewhat confidential. the electric co. isn't going to broadcast your usage to the cops without a subpoena. like has been mentioned above, its going to come down to your usage. a 1000 watts is a tv, amplifier, some lights, a/c, etc. if you are drawing a few thousand...

Check Out My New License Plate!

Lol. Did you know that many "imports" are built more in the USA than supposed "American" cars. Did you know my car was built in Ohio? My mom's "American" minivan was built in Canada. Of the 10 cars with the most American-built content, 5 of them are made by Honda or Toyota.

I'm About to Give Up on Cloning

Here is what I learned from my friend's Polish mom's old school way of cloning... take the clone with a sharp instrument, cutting at 45 degree angle, leaving at least 3 nodes on the clone. (I immediately dip the clone in clone gel, but Polish mom often hides the flower cuttings in her purse...

is a 15 gallon smart pot too big for an indoor indica grow?

unless you have high ceilings i'd stay with a 5 gallon pot. you can do a 4 week veg and have a reasonable electric bill and turn your crop quicker than waiting to grow a 10' tree using a few kilowatts of power.

    IL Growers

Start indoors, txfer outdoors after ~May 20. There are charts on seed packets in Home Depot, for instance. Stuff will grow outside in IL for sure. There is plenty of sun, rain and warmth (at least from May 1 - October 31). This area has some of the best soil in the world for growing...

Check Out My New License Plate!

Best car I've ever owned, perfect for where I live. Even better, its paid off and has under 60k miles in 6.5 years. It will be better when I do a K24 swap and have upgraded I/H/E. I just need a job first. It's just a Photochop everyone. I did enjoy how many thought it was real.

    botany teacher lying?

I don't think the cops can detect a frequency given off by an HPS or MH light. I believe they used to search for the infrared (heat) given off by such lights to look for grow ops. Good thing the courts said they can't do that without a warrant. Same thing with the custy lists at Hydro shops...

Is CO2 during vegetative growth a waste?

extra co2 probably helps more during flowering, especially in the times when the plant is adding weight the fastest. the plant strips the carbon off of the co2 molecule and uses it as a building block in it's construction.

    Ways to Increase yield

you need to get blackstrap molasses. you can find it in a health/organic food store. It's cheap, under $5. Put a few drops of it per gallon of H20. Feed this to the plants during flowering. It will increase yield and make your smoke sweeter.

    Donald Trump for Prez

I'd consider voting for Trump but I have a feeling his campaign will be hurt by his past - ex wives and bankruptcies. Given recent events, I'd love to see Scott Walker or Chris Christie run. I wouldn't vote for Ron Paul just on the Federal Reserve issue. My background is in Econ and...
