This is more commonly called worm "casings". Many experienced people on here will have heard of this. I don't know much about it, but from what I have read worm casings seem expensive and unnecessary.

On that part of the plant, if there are "leaves" like you say, then you most likely have a female plant. If there are little ball-looking sacs there, it's male.

Put them under the light now. The light needs to be about 2 feet away. Some people do 24/0 others 20/4 others 18/6, you can decide on that one. Good Luck!

What kind of fluoros are these? regular or CFL? If they are regular fluoros, that's the problem. The plants need better light. I had mine under regular fluoros and just put in some CFLs last week. Since then I have seen good growth.

If you have $150, from what most people say on here, I would go with the 400 watt HPS setup ($119) from eBay or other places. The HPS combined with the CFLs should be some good light.

You think 2 100 watt equivalent (23w CFL) is good enough for like 4 plants? I just want some kind of notion as to what wattage I should go for.
