i would also add some humus. alot of benefitial bacteria to give your soil a good kick start.

another idea is to grow your weed and grow other plants such as vegetables and herbs and sell them at a farmers market. herb go 2 dollars for a bundle and you can grow alot of herbs in a small area.

i find it easier to transplant them than direct sow because i normally get big clumps of seedlings together that are some what spread out so i have to thin them and i find it a pain in the ass.

you could compost. if you really want to i would look in to worm composting or a bokashi bin. i want a bokashi bin but they are 60 dollars around here. you can compost anything tho! bones and even dairy.

recycling is somewhat a waste. reusing is not. i try and reuse as much recyclable goods as i can and the ones i cannot get thrown in the recycling even tho you pollute more than recycle... that is why you need to reuse.

that is cool using the earth as your job. in the future i would love to do the same but with a garden and like farmers market or something and teaching people to grow their own food and be more sustainable.

that seems like some hard work for compost. but i bet you get alot of it cause that is a big animal. i forgot to mention i also have alot of plants on the porch. i am going to also start taking cutting of my pothos plants and place them all over the house for a greener more lively house.

listen to kane! i too will advocate the use of compost tea and amended soils. they are the best way to grow. sustainable growing. it is the way plants should grow.

does he plant them as low as he can when they are sprouts? i transplant carrot sprouts when they are a couple days old and bury the root all the way up to the first leaves.

your indoor temps are that low? they have grape and cherry tomatoes. i have some right now i got at the farmers market that could be confused with grapes. some are also green. but i like the yellowish and purplish ones the best out of this bunch my favorite are sun gold.

you can use compost tea every water. depends if you add nutrients to it or not. if it is just plain compost tea that it shouldnt be bad for your plants.

non organic growing is just killing or altering nature. most the food grown in the grocery is GM. they spray round-up all over it. the ragweed resistance is only the begining. in years it will happen again. there is only a matter of time till when it happens and scientists cannot fix it fast...
