the one cavate to this I would say is the bulb replacement cost and impact on land fills. They are not cheap and I would replace them each grow if I was doing it again.

the brown sugar is feeding some kind of bacteria, thats how fermenting works. With beer and such you add the yeast and breed a specific kind of bacteria. I am curious what we are breeding here.

If you really want SUPER soil you want to try to mimic the ancient Aztec soil frequently called "Tera preta" but I don't think that is something that has been exactly replicated.

Rainforest for sure has a very biodiverse soil.. personally I wouldn't go harvesting it ... you will also get a lot of bugs lol. The island soil is very rich in volcanic material which makes for amazing soils for some plants.

Anyone know of a trustworthy place to get pre sterilized grain bags for a reasonable cost? I see a lot of places online but I want something that I know is sterile ... I see some that are like 8 bucks.... some that are like 50... asking the brain trust!

huh my room must not be very well sealed then, lowest mine has gotten is 350ish

if you are just doing that level I really dont know if it is worth it, but it should also last forever at that low of a level.
