    Adding/Changing lights!?

Depends. I use a single 600w to cover an area about the same size, but I only grow 8 plants at a time and have them on a rotation so that only half of them are close to full size at any given time (the other 4 sit on raised stands to keep the bigger ones from blocking the light). My area is...

    90 Watt LED Grow Light!

Same reason I use a humidifier (well,a swamp cooler actually). Because without one the natural humidity is between 0-15% locally, which is spider mite heaven. Even with buckets of water and damp towels hanging around I can't get the humidity up above 30% without running a humidifier (winter) or...

    Sog vs Full size

Double, Yield is one of those things that's so variable that nobody can really give you an idea of what to expect. The grow I'm about to harvest is a perfect example- this strain should yield around 3 oz per plant on a 12 week grow cycle (4 veg, 8 flower) and the plants should be between 4-5...

    Adding/Changing lights!?

Ganj, Your forgetting something. On a lumens per watt basis a 600w is the most efficient light you can get. I'd be willing to bet that two 600w will put out just as many lumens as the 1000w and 400w combined will, and since they are pulling 200 less watts of energy it will cost less to run them.

    light help please

Time, Seedlings and clones have a hard time handling the heat and intensity from HID lights, so I would advise that you get a seperate light for them and grow them in a different room. You can pick up a flourescent ballast and a couple of bulbs at wal mart for about $20, and that will work...

Will a plant hermie like that late in flowering for no apparent reason very often? I don't think I had a light leak, but i thought getting a hermie without some sort of light leak was a rare thing? And isn't it a bit unusual for it to happen this late into flowering? I mean I'm no more then a...

Too late bud, I already took the top off of it. Just took the main cola and a small side bud, and the results after trimming were about as disappointing as I had expected. Came out to 9.5 grams wet, and thats with a good bit of stem involved. This was one of the least developed plants, but...

Hey Riddle, Well, this first grow just threw me another curve. I'm halfway through week 7 and am just starting to show amber trichs on the plants, and what do I find today? One of the ungrateful buggers has decided to go hermie on me! One set of banannas sticking up out of the top of the...

    NooB Advice

Riddle, The mites and neem over reaction contributed to stunting their growth and cost them a lot of leaves, but the spotting on the leaves didn't start until a few weeks ago. My guess is that it's a problem with the nute mixture, but since FF nutes use multiple products on every watering...

Riddle and all, Finally got some pictures of my grow to share. It's now into week 7 of flowering so it's pretty much too late to fix this grow, but maybe you can give me some input so I can fix this if I see it on the future. The major issue is the spotting on the fan leaves- I can't tell if...

First grow. "Opium" clones in soil, 400w MH/HPS. Comments/advice welcome

Day 85 (49 of flowering): 65-75 during light, 62-70 at night. Humidity=25-30% Well, it's getting close. As of today we're into week 7, and the buds seem to be starting to swell and a fair number of hairs are starting to go red as well. The trichomes seem to be going milky/cloudy on most of the...

When Marijuana is Legalized Nationwide, What Happens to Incarcerated ?

Unless they write the laws with a grandfather clause in it or include some sort of stipulation that anyone incarcerated for MJ related crimes is to be freed those people will stay right where they are at, and even if they are released they wouldn't have any legal right to sue since they commited...

    Maximum Yield

Interesting read Riddle, especially the first article. You know all the trials and tribulations I've gone through with the grow I'm going to be harvesting in the next couple of weeks, and the more I think about the entire situation the more I'm convinced that the spider mites and my over...

    Colorado Med Growers, Unite

Chines, You must have missed the follow up articles. He back peddled a couple days later-My guess is he got a call from someone in Washington telling him to shut up and back off if he wanted to keep his job.

    How is yield calculated?

Gas, Thanks for pointing that out. When I originally started designing the spreadsheet it was just for my own personal use, so I had the formula for all the cells set up for my own home rate. When I adjusted it to be usable for anyone i changed the formulas in the first couple of cells, but...

First grow. "Opium" clones in soil, 400w MH/HPS. Comments/advice welcome

Day 77 (41 of flowering): 65-75 during light, 62-70 at night. Humidity=25-30% Ok, another week gone by. The plants I repotted are doing fine, though it hasn't solved the problem with the one plant. It still looks like it has PH problems, but it seems to slowly be clearing up. At this point...

There is an App For That

Arvada, Microsoft Word is basically a word processing program. It's good for letters, memos, notes, etc, but is very limited when it comes to data processing or displaying relationships between different groups of data. Excel is a spreedsheet program, and it's great for creating reports that...

Riddle, I'm a bit confused by the whole soilless grow thing. Does it work just like a soil grow except that you are using a soilless medium in the pots, or does it work like a hydro/aero grow that requires pumps and other mechanical devices to keep the medium and root mass moist and aerated...

    My Ghetto Gas Station

Huh, Where I live isn't quite the ghetto, but it's not that far away. I live in an area thats mostly filled with immigrants from Mexico or other places in South/Central America, and it's not exactly a wealthy area. I bought out in this area for two reasons- it was close to work, and until I...
