Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Thanks WW, The pictures exist, it's just getting them onto my computer thats been a problem. I don't own a digital camera and the person who does can't figure out how to put them onto my computer directly while they are here, so they always go home and email them to me. Problem is that they...

    Calling All Noob Growers

LOL, This is almost like trying to referee between my boss and our sales manager when they get into it (about every other day). Neither of you is wrong, you're just not speaking the same language. Riddle, I know Lumen ratings are based on the ranges the human eye uses rather then those...

    Calling All Noob Growers

Ok, guys, your arguing apples and oranges. Both of you are actually right, because you are talking about totally different things. Riddle is making the point that the intensity (i.e. lumens) of the light are not the most important factor, and I agree. I don't care how intense the light is, if...

    Calling All Noob Growers

Riddle, Not sure quite what argument your making above. I thought everyone understood that the wavelength was more important then the wattage/lumens. The intensity of the light doesn't matter unless it's in spectrums the plants actually make use of. As for the par and such being printed on...

    Calling All Noob Growers

Riddle, Picture's are a problem (big surprise). The person with the camera has the pics and has actually tried to send them to me several times, but for some reason my email isn't receiving them. I was on the phone with them the last time and I'm sure the mail address was correct, so I don't...

How often should I water during veg.?

The previous posts have all had good advice. A lot of it comes down to learning to read your plants, because how often they want water changes with their age as well as with environmental conditions. It also changes depending on how you train them. For example, my plants that are between 1-3...

    Calling All Noob Growers

Riddle, What woud you suggest to supplement the dyna grow/jacks classic mix if you have a plants thats showing some N deficiency around week 3-4 of flowering? This is the plant that got hit by the lights, and I think it had to use up a lot of it's stored energy on repairs since it's sister has...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Time for a new update. My oldest set of girls are right about two weeks from harvest now, and the red/brown hairs are starting to come in with a vengeance. The buds are also starting to swell, and I can already tell that I'm going to end up with a lot tighter buds then i got out of the last...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Thanks BM, Wish I could get some updated pictures posted, but something wierd is going on with the email. I know the pictures were sent to me at least 3 times during the last week, and the email address is correct, but something is keeping them from being delivered. I've been a bit...

    When Will USA Fall?

Yeah, but where is there to go that's any better? I've spent quite a bit of time outside the US (most of it in place that weren't very attractive, like Saudi Arabia) and I know from personal experience how good we have it here. Compared to most of the world those of us in the developed nations...

Bought a kit off ebay, Now what? Help please.

Ok, I'll Bite. First off, don't put them under the HID light until they are at least 3-4 inches tall and and have 2+ sets of leaves. And don't put it any closer then 24" from them-even if heat isn't a problem the intensity of the light can bleach out the leaves on young plants. They also tend to...

    i think i killed my plant =(

Not sure. You really don't want to put young plants any closer to the bulbs then you need to, even when they are low heat bulbs like CFL's. It doesn't take much heat to brown out a young sprout that hasn't had a chance to develop much of a root system, and even without the heat the intensity...

Info info info I need info

I agree with kat. I personally run an 18/6 during veg. There are certain processes that the plant can only accomplish at full efficiency during the dark cycle (like storing energy in the fans leaves for use during flowering), so they really do need that dark period. 24/0 lights will make them...

Is this a good or bad idea?????

Pollen can carry for miles, so unless you have some sort of way to keep one set of the plants or the other in air tight conditions I would recommend against it. I know most breeders keep their males and females as far away from each other as possible, and I believe it's not uncommon to grow the...

Info info info I need info

Ok, couple things- During the vegetative stage you need a humidty level of 40-50%. Seedlings and really young plants are still trying to develop roots and need to be able to suck in moisture from the air as well. That may have a lot to do with why your plants stem is weak, because a plants...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Ah, ok. With the number of plants you're running the amount of labor required isn't surprising. The flipside is that the labor cost tends to be proportionate to the number of plants you're growing, so adding more plants doesn't really increase your average labor cost per plant, and can even...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Thought I'd give a quick example- I just went up to do my daily check on the plants. I went up at 3:52 and was done at 3:54. 120 seconds divided by 11 plants = 10.9 seconds of labor per plant for today. :)

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Mz, You can find it here: https://www.rollitup.org/general-marijuana-growing/313524-there-app.html Just make sure you download the updated version, because the original had a couple of formulas that had to be fixed. How many plants are you running? I've only got 11 at the moment, but i...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

MZ, Have you seen the spreadsheet I created for tracking grow costs? It's not a perfect yet, and needs some supplementary sheets to handle a perpetual grow properly, but I'll be upgrading it in the not too distant future. When you plug in full business style costs (rent, insurance, labor...

    When Will USA Fall?

I'm an accountant, and all i can say is that if i did companies books the way the government does theirs that i would be looking at spending the rest of my life in a cell next to Bernie Madoff. If you actually read the govenments financial statements and think about what they actually mean once...
