    Spider Mites residence? and removal?

Spider mites can be found pretty much anywhere that its hot and dry. They can be in your grass, on your pets, on your clothing, etc, and chances are you won't know it until you start to see the signs that they've been eating your plants. They prefer to hang out on the shaded underside of...

ready to flower. 2 months in. first grow. help.

grow, I'm not a hydro guy, but the general rule of thumb is that you want higher N values during veg, and higher P during flowering. The problem with most nutes that are supposed to be designed for cannabis is that they sacrifice the plants overall health chasing bud production by giving too...

Nederland Colorado voters approve buying, selling, possessing, and growing marijuana

My caregiver lives in Nederland and I've spent quite a bit of time up there. Keep in mind, this is a town that is maybe 2 miles long and thats a 25 mile mountain drive from the nearest city (Boulder) but that has 5 different dispensaries with storefronts and a ton of growers/caregivers living...

    Adding lights to the grow

Depends on where you're at in the life cycle. The HPS is a great flowering bulb, but they tend to lack some of the blue spectrums that are most beneficial during the vegetative stage. I'd run the blue spectrum cfls during vegging, then add the red spectrum cfls during flowering.

First grow. "Opium" clones in soil, 400w MH/HPS. Comments/advice welcome

Day 95 (59 of flowering): 70-85 during light, 62-70 at night. Humidity=25-30% Ok, these girls are starting to annoy me. The plant that actually grew more or less properly and developed the best cola looks like it's done until you get out the glass and look at the trichs, at which point you...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Oh, forgot to mention that i welcome comments, so feel free. I made it rain for all of the older plants today (all 4 of them :-P). The ones that are at the end of their second week of flowering are in 5 gallons pots, and I ran a bit over 2 gallons worth of water through each of them. Talk...

How much watts should i use 2 grow, and is there a certain brand of light bubls r bes

East, You're asking a question that doesn't have any one right answer. You have three basic choices when it comes to lights- HID, Flourescent/CFL, and LED. Which you are going to want to use is totally dependant on how many plants your are growing, the size of your grow space, how big you...

    12 gallon pot?

It shouldn't, though people tend to start in a smaller pot and transplant because it's easier to make sure your watering properly when the plant is small. It's easy to end up either over or under watering when you have all that extra dirt that the roots may or may not have gotten to yet...

    Calling All Noob Growers

Ok, that clarifies a few things for me. Sinned- One of the things I've noticed since I've started making it rain regularly is that the plants are sucking up the water a lot faster then they did on my last grow. I'm needing to water at most every couple of days this time around, and there...

    Flowering Nutrients

Cylee, Sorry about the slow response. It should say unsulfered. I use "grandmas molasses" myself, and it's say on the label that it is unsulfered. Just a note on the nutes- Start out with them at between 1/4 and 1/2 strength and slowly increase the dose with each watering until your see...

    The Homogenization Of Cannabis...

Jester, Where do you get that cannabis was first found in China and the Himalayas and then carried everywhere else by humans? The oldest civilizations we know about were in the middle east and northeast Africa, and the evidence show they used cannabis (hemp) for rope and various other...

Spider mites SUCK! No Pest Strip?

I use a combination of no pest strips and neem. The no pest strips work fairly well, but I've had spider mites come back when i relied on those alone and didn't remember to give my plants their once a week preventative neem spraying. I only do a 1/4 strength spray, but between that and the no...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Ok, I'm not going to bother keep tracking of what day each part of the grow is on in this thread since the whole idea is to have a rotation of plants from clones to harvest that are all two weeks apart from each other. The oldest set have had just shy of two weeks in the flowering room, and...

    Colorado Med Growers, Unite

slvthc, You're correct, but the Doctors recommendation does give you the ability to raise the need to grow more then 6 to treat your condition as a valid legal defense, and as far as i know nobody has been convicted for going over the 6 plant limit if they could use that defense. I'll admit...

    Calling All Noob Growers

Riddle, Are you running CO2 as part of your grow now? I can see the need for a CO2 monitor if your using something to supplement CO2 levels, but if your relying on open windows or an air intake I can't see the need for one. It's not like your going to be able to raise the level much by...

    B&K's First Grow-LED and T5 HO Floro 30 Plants-10 The Dope-20 Endless Sky

Nice grow folks! You sure don't do things half way, do you? I only grow half as many plants as you do, and i use a staggered schedule so that it's basically a perpetual grow, but i don't have anywhere near the equipment or set up you have going. I especially like the watering system, because...

    Flowering Nutrients

Cylee, I've used the full FF line up and have been unhappy with them during flowering. My suggestion would be to go down to the local garden shop and pick up a tub of jacks classic bloom booster, and a small bottle of dyna grow general purpose formula. Those will set you back less then $20...

Blueberry forever! My second (and perpetual) grow

Hey all :bigjoint: Ok, so my first grow hasn't turned out as well as I would have liked, but I'm not letting that discourage me. About 6 weeks ago I got my hands on a couple of DJ shorts unreal blueberry clones, and they are going to serve as the basis for my new perpetual grow. Don't know...

Day 91 (55 of flowering): 70-85 during light, 62-70 at night. Humidity=25-30% Well, another week down. Had one of them decide to hermie on me earlier this week so I took the cola off of it and have itdrying currently. Was only a single set of banannas, and I haven't seen any more on that or...

    First grow, pls help

Few thoughts here. First, have you got a pest control spray that works on spider mites or whatever other nasty happens to be common in your part of the country? You're going to want to do preventative sprays every so often (stuff i use is weekly) to keep them from ever getting established on...
