    2000w vert room 8x8x7 design

Ah, sorry, I did misread that. Thank you for clarifying. Maybe have to run cool tubes then? Now are you saying that with the cooling nights that the inside temp will drop more? Perhaps finding a temp sensor you can use for your cycling, like a greenhouse temp driven vent controller to go with...

giving defoliation during flower a try

An interesting documentary I saw, What plants talk about, or something like that, worth watching, as it offers up some insight (really in further discovery of man's understanding, or lack-therof) Thanks for sharing your observations. It is a well known practice, though I'm willing to bet...

giving defoliation during flower a try

A grower from northwestleaf (doctor Scanderson, unsure of credentials) says this: http://www.thenorthwestleaf.com/pages/articles/post/why-a-plants-final-3-4-weeks-of-grow-are-so-important "Often, gardeners will deliberately stress the plant mildly right at the end of the flower stage. Many of...

I don't have experience in vert, so I can't offer up much for advice, but how much stretch do you expect from this strain? If they stretch a lot (from the 2' vegged), you can place a screen between the plants and the light to direct the nodes in various directions to fill out the canopy evenly...

giving defoliation during flower a try

Thanks for the comment. I was offering my two cents, not yours. And it is fact that small leaves are sinks until a certain point of maturity. You already knew that... but for others: http://www.scri.ac.uk/scri/file/annualreports/1999/08SINKSO.PDF And for those that don't want to spend $250...

giving defoliation during flower a try

I agree, older fan leaves that lose their "luster" and then lose their efficiency too. I think there is a point that a small leaf has to reach in size before it becomes power producing and not leeching itself, so there is a balance to be made, I believe. It could be active pruning or defoliation...

    is co2 my problem ?

Get your temps in check, but that shouldn't halt growth until it's around 29-30 c. If you don't have fresh air circulating into the shed, or a source of Co2, there will be minimal growth after the plant(s) have consumed the available co2 (it's required for photosynthesis). Go get yourself a co2...

    smoking in seattle

Two months of veg, is that in the same container? I'm no soil expert, but if you're using organic soil and haven't added to it yet, you may want to consider re-potting or a top dressing/amendment before flipping her. Waiting it out too long can be counter productive if you're sticking with cfls...

6X23Watt CFL grow First time , bagseed 12/12 FS

As to watering, just keep the soil moist but not drenched for now, definitely don't want the roots to rot or dry out. As the roots develop, water as the top dries out, checking by poking your finger into the top of the soil. When your fan leaves start developing, watch them for watering as well...

Failure in 3 different scenarios (PICS and detailed log)

You can fill a secondary res with water and let it set out overnight, that tends to help. There is also "chlorine out" drops used for home aquariums, though I'm not sure how long after adding one should wait before adding nutrient or watering with.

Hydroponic reservoir + Clay pebbles covered by some white powder?

Did you wash and sterilize the clay pebbles? Seeing there you have a seedling, so there shouldn't be any salt buildup yet... So it's prob a mold.

giving defoliation during flower a try

Maybe mother took longer due to stress or lighting, different feed schedules or? For example, a week could be the difference between a well timed plant and a topped or cut plant thrown into flower before it recovered from the stress. If you keep journals on each harvest, they're good references.

    are my buds on track

There's some frost, but the buds look pretty small and fluffy. I don't think it's behind in terms of maturity (i.e. the cannabinoid profile). Did you over do the Nitrogen in early flowering? Dark leaves and lots of "claw" on the top, and plenty of stretch there too (though maybe just...

harvest in 2 weeks..need to do a quick dry sample taste

The small stuff isn't going to mature at the same rate as the buds up top, so even if a flush and cure wasn't an issue, the results are inconclusive, IMO.

Please Help, First grow. Pics inside

Magnesium deficiency and then some... maybe a PH issue. Purple/red stems and twisted new growth, wavy leaves too. I see a few pistils/calyx there in the last pic (looks like it was taken from a plant in early flowering). Are you using tap, and what is the dissolved solids level (ie PPM) of your...

giving defoliation during flower a try

You're definitely stacking them in there. If you have good light and airflow, don't get too crazy with defoliation in veg, but introduce the girls to it if you have the time, if you even veg that long as it is. I say this because it's obvious you can't realistically over-veg your girls and keep...
