    The old uvb question

    Thanks for sharing, good info.

What harm is there in an early harvest?

Why not tie and prop her up? Some strains practically require this as they break under their own weight, i.e. trainwreck.

    The old uvb question

Bump! If you do try the uvb setup, it might be advantageous to use tubes over cfl, as the footprint and intensity dissipates rapidly with increasing distance and you may achieve more usable uv from a tube in relation to the canopy distance and orientation of the light.

giving defoliation during flower a try

Leaves are not specifically a defense mechanism, but a number of interesting things can happen when they are being plucked off, attacked, or infested with bugs. For example, terpenes serve a purpose in nature to attract or repel beneficial bugs or pests (respectively).

I agree, I'm not implying that they fit. I did state that it is the SCIENCE behind it that interests me, and I did mention the "apples to oranges" forty or so pages back. I'm simply trying to offer a direction for conversation, something to build on that retains some likeness to this thread.

Study on grapes done in the 90's and different methods of pruning: http://ag.arizona.edu/pubs/crops/az1051/az105118.html. Interestingly enough, the results varied based on a number of factors, including cultivar. Also, this practice is done not only for the crop itself, but the health of the...

giving defoliation during flower a try

Here's an excerpt from an article on pruning indeterminate tomato vines, preventing the plant from getting ahead of itself. A tomato is a solar-powered sugar factory. For the first month or so, all of the sugar it produces is directed towards new leaf growth. During this stage, tomato plants...

giving defoliation during flower a try

I believe it is the other way around, being a sink in early growth and a source when it is large enough to produce more energy than it is using. Regardless, I agree that some crop varieties do well with pruning, such as grape vines intended for wine. It's also true that cannabis is largely...

giving defoliation during flower a try

No result, the OP went quiet. But don't worry, there are plenty of know-it-alls here on trollitup, so you can rest assured someone will tell you how it finished :)

    Quick help please

I'm not sure what you're asking without knowing your configuration. Are you just circulating air in your tent, or is your light vented from outside the tent, but within the same room? How could it be "sweating" if it isn't colder than the tent's ambient temp? What are your temps in the tent vs...

It matters where you post. Folks don't want to read through 108 pages of shit trying to find the content pertaining to the thread. Instead, you have hijacked this thread. You don't have time to learn how to start a thread, but you have days to post replies to your own replies?!? If you say...

giving defoliation during flower a try

I should mention, I feel that one shouldn't take the manufacturer explanations for how "stuff" works, so the research must be solid and without bias.

Ionized, perhaps, but not everyone feeds with product like that let alone use alternative methods to ionize a nutrient solution, such as a micro bubble gen. In standard terms, and it is a standard for a reason, 7 is neutral. Can you tell me what is in Terpinator? Perhaps you might've mentioned...

Actually, the Ipad takes a pretty decent picture. Unless you think 5 megapixel is crap, which most folks would never need more than.

giving defoliation during flower a try

I stand corrected, must've posted just before me. Never grown an auto, but since there is no environmental control used in relation to flowering, I would play it safe and assume that any trimming/pruning/defol done might actually hurt overall yield in an autoflower as it is often based on the...

This thread's like a show that went to commercials and never returned... All that reading and we're still shit talking? Damn. Who's got the popcorn?

    is co2 my problem ?

Are you growing organic? I'd advise against the h2o2 if you're organic, as it would most likely kill all of the beneficial bacteria that breakdowns the soil and releases nutrients for the plant to uptake. How's it looking since over watered?
