    More irradiated medication

True? Citations would be helpful. Also, I am still not clear how extensive the milling is. It sounds like something that would make it a powder like flour, but if the picture they show at https://www.facebook.com/CanniMed?hc_location=stream is the final product, it looks more "crumbled" than...

As mentioned above in #24, none for the MMAR stuff and this URL makes it look like still no pesticides get added to the CanniMed material: http://cannimed.ca/pages/cannimed-production-process.

    More irradiated medication

According to the " Safety issues concerning the medical use of cannabis and cannabinoids" paper you can find here: https://www.pulsus.com/journals/JnlSupToc.jsp?sCurrPg=journal&jnlKy=7&supKy=393 ...the main concern is Aspergillus. PPS and Bedrocan are likely not doing anything to make it grow...

    MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

The Peace Naturals Project Inc. popped up on the radar today, but they seem to have done it with little fanfare, with nothing on their site or Facebook page. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/marihuana/info/list-eng.php

    Testing Facilities

I don't think this is what the OP had in mind. These are all reputable labs which would not attempt to let you walk in, then out, inside of 20' with an imprecise number. Twenty minutes is barely enough time to process the intake paperwork, let alone prep the sample and get the assay up and...

    MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

It is a nice start but it appears to only be good for total THC and makes no mention of quantifying total CBD and it does it by decarboxylating the acids, which is usually anathema to the HPLC approach. Also, it might take a while to access those Swiss validation reports to see what the actual...

Has anyone tried Sativex via Vapouriser?

That's the point, because the sublingual route might not be the best. If you heat it at 100 C for 30" (as per the Volcano Medic's ethanol instructions) you will remove the ethanol but leave most everything else, although I would suspect you would also drive off some of the terpenes from the...

Has anyone tried Sativex via Vapouriser?

Yes, that could be a tad harsh. So, any idea if it would be worse than some of the cough syrups I recall choking back as a kid? Or NeoCitran, which makes me gag? After all, it is just peppermint, so other than the menthol and menthone, it has a lot of the same aroma compounds as cannabis.

    MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

In case any of you are wondering what cannabinoid HPLC validation can look like, I found this reference: Journal of Chromatography B, 877 (2009) 4115–4124, and here is the article's URL: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1570023209007545. If you can't get it readily by...

    MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

Oh, and I am not a security expert, but you might want to plan for a scenario wherein the security inspector shows up and tells you that they consider mature plants to be 'stored' as soon as they are ready for harvest and your greenhouse suddenly turns into a vault. Also, you might not want to...

    MMPR Grow op: Small Scale

Fabulous thread. Good to see folks coming to grips with the details of the production problem and you are lucky to have someone like Kron3007 chiming in loudly and clearly; that person has obvious lab experience and knows how to decode the pharmacopeias. For what it is worth, I will give the...

Has anyone tried Sativex via Vapouriser?

Rather than using it as a spray, has anyone tried spritzing Sativex onto a pad and vapourising it? For instance, the Volcano Medic has instructions for THC solutions in ethanol, so you could take the same approach with the Sativex. I am uncertain how much of the propylene glycol will get...

    Cancer patient getting started

Our go straight here:http://cannimed.ca/pages/our-products-new. Granted, there does not seem to be any great need to do so right away because none of the three strains seems to be available at the moment. However, the application forms seem to be up now...

Feedback from the CRA: MMPR and Volcano Medic as allowable medical expense

Which has what to do with tax status as an allowable medical expense? I obviously was not clear; CRA = Canada Revenue Agency. I did not start this topic to discuss reimbursement or relief through drug plans or Veteran Affairs, etc., just claiming it as an allowable medical expense on the tax...

Feedback from the CRA: MMPR and Volcano Medic as allowable medical expense

Has anyone else contacted the CRA about the status of MMPR MM as an allowable medical expense? I noticed that the CRA website only mentions MMAR & CDSA Section 56 exemptions and has nothing about the MMPR, so I called them to ask. I did not receive an affirmative or a negative but was told to...

If their patient base is local, small grows might have the edge in shipping costs, but I am clueless as to how significant that would be.

I concur. It is not mandated by HC. All they seem to require the LP to do is use an established microbial testing method and acceptance criteria based on a pharmacopeia they are comfy with. All you need to do is meet that specification. The advantage of irradiation is that it pretty much...
