But there are a lot of non-venomous things out there too. I don't have a shot of a funnel-web because they're only found further south than here... but this little water spider is cool. I'm not sure what kind of spider it is, but I think it's a nice one... bit ugly though. ... and even though...

I think you might mean the goanna... this is a lizard, not an alligator or crocodile... a bloody big lizard, grant you, but just a lizard. We don't have alligators in Aus, we have 2 types of crocodiles. Freshwater crocs (freshies) are smaller, have a thinner snout and are generally a bit more...

Well, there are a few rules. Generally crocs live in salty water. The fresh creeks around here are croc free, but any tidal streams are a no-go zone. But then, in the creeks we have a fish called a Bullrout... it's like a stone fish and it's extremely poisonous. To top it off, it's a lot smaller...

Hey Hester... how's things girl? and Stoney... We just recently found out our daughter is pregnant. She's almost 17. There's not much we can do about it really, so we're all pretty excited. All we can do is support her as much as we can. That's my opinion anyway...

No way... most definitely not. There are crocs around. But if you keep a good look out you can see them coming. The dog loves the water. He's after a stick in this pic. He had a ball, let me tell you.

And now for some of our beautiful scenery. This is a popular swimming spot nearby... well, when I say nearby, it's about 70 km or so from here... just up the road, really. And this too... just up the creek from the previous photo. And of course... for the classic touch of Aussieness... a...

Just a little something that always warms my heart... A good campfire, a wet line and a billy on the boil. A 'billy' is a can that is used over a campfire to hold and boil water... generally for a nice strong cup of tea, although it's not bad for cooking in either. I love camping...

I think they're a native australian spider... I wonder how they got there?? Still, they won't hurt you, so just leave them there and enjoy them. Give them names. :bigjoint:

I'll show you lots of different spiders... I have heaps. Spiders are one of my favourite subjects. As long as I don't have to touch them, that is... :eyesmoke: Here you go, here's another one. I call this Spider vs Native Bee. I'm not sure what kind of spider it is, but it's tiny... and it...
