Have had just the root pop out the tops before even though it was a half inch down. Just paper towel easier. Don't have to worry about to wet, to dry, is it to hot out for the seed etc. IMO it's a lot easier to pop the seed then plant. Especially indoors.

Sounds good I never pop into soil never know which way it'll pop open and which way root going. I usually wet paper towel put seeds on it fold over put in ziplock on top of cable box where it's warm. Most of my seeds pop in less than 36 hrs when I do it this way.

Yea the steam test is to make sure they still bend but are dry and don't snap, if they snap u went to long. If the outside of the bud feels dry but the stem still bend and doesn't snap ur good. If buds feel dry and u bend and snap to long

Raise humidity a little to 60-65 and temps at like 70 extend ur time. Are they in darkness when drying? Do you do the stem test when ur drying?there fans for air movement?
