CFL's do the job alright just as good as HPS unless your running a 1000 watter then it becomes hard to compete. but in your opinion how important is the kelvin rating which is something that is adjustable using CFL's what is opt for blooming in kelvin ???

i could not agree more that is the very reason i love CFL's because you can adjust the kelvin rating and the lumens as you see fit.

please keep in mind the lumens are diffrent the further you get from the plant if the bulb put out 55000 lumens that is right on the bulb not 3 feeet away and that is only inital lumens HID HPS MH all loose lumens faster then CFLS so lumens per watt decrease they sell them on the mean lumens not...

how important is the kelvin rating in the source of the light could you do better or the same with less lumens less watts if you give the plant the perfect kelvin spectrum???

yes with great success that light can handle 1400 watts if i wanted so it can flower all right normaly for flowering i run the hood at 840 watts 75,000 lumens at 2700 kelvin and that dose the job for what i do i never seem to run out. got the hood and bulbs from [email protected]

i think sickley sticky is just an average hater because his numbers dont match mine so it must be BS there can be no other way for it to come flower. no punt intended
