    Power SI / Feed Methods

Everyone assumes Si is able to get past the root of cannabis, most grasses will uptake it but most broadleafs exclude it at the root or only passively uptake it if it is at a high enough concentration. I have never seen any difference from using it or not. Using it as a foliar treatment like...

ROOT APHIDS - No azadirachtin, pyrethrin or synthetics allowed. Now what?

With the restrictions they have put on you the only way is to throw out everything and start over with extreme prejudice about everything that is brought in, mothers, media, everything.

ROOT APHIDS - No azadirachtin, pyrethrin or synthetics allowed. Now what?

The not being able to treat the mother room with anything that is close to 100% effective is going to be a perpetual problem i would think. I would talk to whoever you need to about doing what is necessary to keep mothers and room they are in 100% clean.

The smoking test is the only test that matters!

Smaller buds under LEDS vs HPS?

Alot of plants will not make large buds if they are not thinned out but will make large flowers if they are thinned out. Some plants will make large flowers regardless. Try lollipoping like you used to with hps next time, and try keeping N below 150ppm.

Do you have an opinion on silica and bubble hash?

I have yet to see any evidence that cannabis even uptakes silicon, but I have not been looking for any studies simply because I could never tell any difference in anything if I used it or didnt use it. Most monocots and members of Pinaceae will readily uptake it but a lot of the broadleafs dont...

Nutrients Question (switching from GH to Masterblend)

Just cut back on the CaNo3 during flowering if your worried about it or if they are too green.

    LED light saturation nation

you get on a forum to ask questions about your 2x2 tent, you get answers from people that are way larger than a tent and have been doing it for decades and you wont listen.

    LED light saturation nation

Keeping a correct vpd is not extreme augmentation. That 2month old LED pic are way under feed. You should forget about that sharp decline in THC over 27c. Bugbee doesnt know shit about good cannabis.

    lets talk silica

Exactly if..If you dont know if the plants roots are excluding or more importantly you cant tell any difference when you use it or not, why bother unless you need to increase pH of your nutrient solution. Do a few cycles without it and see if you see any difference in anything.

    lets talk silica

If cannabis roots do not uptake Si, like most broadleafed plants, it doesnt matter what form you give it.

    lets talk silica

It has been tested to see if plants uptake it, I remember grasses and Pine species and some broadleafs. For example i believe with soybean it took some up but only at high Si concentration in the solution, and crimson clover didnt take it up period. One day some university will do proper...

    lets talk silica

I have never seen proof that cannabis takes it up, grasses will and a few broadleaf plants but at high amoints of Si in solution. I have never noticed it making any difference using it either. Works good for a pH up though.

    Dutch pro bloom ph reducer

citric is fine also, it just doesnt add P like phosphoric or S like sulfuric, the H+ which is what lowers the pH is the same in all of them.

How is this alternative to Maxibloom?

It would work great in soil/potting soil, I dont know about in coco, or any other hydroponic forms. It definitely is designed for soil. You should check the 4-1-7 and see how much Ca. is in it and what form of N it has, if it is more nitrate than NH4 try it.

    Too much nutirtion ?

In the states i have never seen GH use urea, its strange that they would in any hydro nute. its always NO3 (and small amount of NH4 ) usually in nutes for hydro. In soil urea gets converted to NH4 then NO3 by different bacteria, dont know what urea would do in a hydro setup.

How is this alternative to Maxibloom?

If you use that fert for veg let us know how it works, I am not sure how the half NH4 and half NO3 will do over a period of time. Jacks bloom 10 30 20 has that half and half ratio and i use it a few times per cycle but never for days at a time. In soil the NH4 would get converted to NO3 quickly...

    Too much nutirtion ?

Manny there is no urea in any of those GH bottles. Head's formula of using micro and bloom was to drop the amount of K in coco, the extra K that the grow bottle gives. You can use maxi gro and maxi bloom together to get the same NPK ratios (close enough) as you can get with the liquid bottles.

More humidity for clones? I think not.

A low vpd is what you want. Maintain turgor pressure the whole time, you cant do that without a low vpd. Anyone that wants to learn should be using horticulture books, this plant is no different from other plants.

    Optimal elemental ppm for micronutrients

Get yourself a plant nutrition book it will give you what ppm is enough and what is too much, if you dont want to use a commercially available micro mix. Giving the plants not enough or too much will effect plant health which will effect thc amount but not some huge amount.
