    DWC to coco

the PH is very stable that was the beauty that I love with this type of setup. I did use tap water that was filtered through a sediment, chloramine, and chlorine filter. my water is not the best after that filter i was sitting at about 320ppm. I contemplated getting an ro setup then adding back...

    DWC to coco

yes all you need is that aquarium air pump to agitate and add oxygen to the water, it moves the water around pretty good. you'll need one of the bigger ones to be able to get air to the bottom of that can. I think my air pump is rated for like 120 gallon fish tanks. the water pump is only for...

    DWC to coco

Right on well im going to talk your ears off :bigjoint:. upnsmoke I use a pretty big aquarium pump in the 33 gallon trash can to keep things nice and fresh. one oversight many people do with a setup like this is they forget to punch a little hole in the pipe coming out of the trash can facing...

    DWC to coco

You dont need coco specific nutes, but they sure do make life easier. coco has the tendency to want to hold different nutrients more so than other medias therefore a coco specific nutrient really helps combat a deficiency. Personally i like to make things as easy as possible. I had it set on a...

    DWC to coco

If you want the best results with coco you have to treat it like you would a hydro system meaning 1-2 gallon pots and multiple feedings per day. I highly recommend a drain to waste set up that way your res has a constant nutrient ppm that never fluctuates and your ph never swings. I just got...

Im not a big soil grower 12 years of hydro, but looking at the leaves Im leaning toward a cal mag deficiency also you might me over watering. are you letting the soil dry out pretty good? Also how big of container is that plant in? I used to keep my mother plants in soil and smaller pots and...

    Dense buds?

I've been growing for over 10 years and never heard of that. There are many factors to getting denser buds (strain, nutes, light intensity, environment.....and so on) I personally would not go all crazy trying to do that with your light. Keep things simple and will pay off in the long run. I see...

    Plant topping.

I always top the taller branches and let the lower branches catch up to the same height, by that time more shoots will have formed on the topped main. I then let everything grow for a bit then super crop and a crazy amount of lower shoots grow like crazy. I find a good mix of both techniques is...

    DWC: Looser, airier final product?

When growing is dwc if you don't keep your ph in the sweet spot it will greatly affect the uptake into the plant more so than other growing types. I would say every other day I'm adding a little ph down to keep between 5.7 and 6.0 also do you know the temperature of the water? That plays a big...

    Did i mess up :/ ???

if you did not do a proper flush then you will get the HAY smell for a longer period of time. I made that mistake on my first grow and found out that my bud was too moist before i put them into the jars so they eventually got mold. make sure to keep burping the jars. i like to leave the lids off...

What's a Good Alternative to Hydroton?

Im setting up my CAP EBB and Grow system and I really do not want to deal with Hydroton again and heard that COCO was good, but when the flood cycle turns on someone told me that the COCO will just float in the buckets. so What would you use? My main reason for not using Hydroton is the time...
