Clones will root in pretty much any lighting schedule we use for Cannabis. They'll root in 12/12, 18/6, 24/0 they all work. Just be mindful that a 12/12 rooted clone will flower if left that way. Indirect weak light and you're set.

What's your ppm/ec after adding cal/mag, and what scale does your pen use? If it's not a cal/mag issue I'd wager it's a Ph issue causing lockouts. You checking every feed? I'd check your run offs Ph and PPM if you're doing a flush. Will give you a good idea of what's inside the rootzone.

What kind of water are you using? How much Cal/mag are you applying? I agree with CannaCountry. It looks to be a Calcium issue. If you're using Tap water and Cal/mag that could very well be the culprit.
