A computer fan will not be enough to keep this cool. The box that all this will need to go in will also need heat sinks and should be made out of aluminum to help even more with the cooling.

Exactly how many plants are you talking about? More than four and you will need a bigger light than 250 watt.

If you want bigger yields get a HPS.

HPS lights require an ignitor to get the bulb going. Unless you have a lamp that was made for HPS (I don't think they exist) you need all of the "magical stuff".
