well of course 30 cfls is going to be better than 6 but it's not practical. I've done cfl grows as well as a few friends who have as well. If you have 30 CFLs the heat would be so intense that I would be pushing temps 90-100+. Been there.. tried that, stop watching you tube videos.

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure you don't add lumens together like that, especially with cfl's. Even if you had 30, 2000 lumen cfl's a luxometer would still read 2000 lumens, however, you are still increasing the photons and usable light for the plant so it's still a good idea to have as...

This is what my last grow looked like just a few days further in than this grow. The screen was way better on the last grow because I was growing from clones. The current grow is from seeds so I had a few set backs trying to reveg after sexing.

yeah it will be perfect for clones, just remember you need something to put them in that will trap the humidity in. Something like an aquarium or Hungry Howie containers :hump:? It could also work for a mother, though it might be a little tight. You would definitely have to bend the mother...

you can always add peat moss but you dont want to use nothing but peat moss. There are a lot of good nutes in the soil as well. Especially since this is your first grow, the soil will be much more forgiving than if you were to use nothing but peat moss. Soil helps buffer the ph and the nutes...

Thanks for the +rep. For future reference they say to try and veg until the screen is about 60% filled and then you flip the lights to 12/12 and the extra growth will fill in the rest. Good luck on your outdoor, half of my plants were eaten by what I believe to be coons.

Ok, these pics are a couple of days old but you can get the idea. They are looking great with loads of bud sites. They have been flowering for about 17 days so about a third of the way there, these Afghani Hindu Kush plants finish in about 7 weeks. :joint:

not that it really matters but they are actually 6 26W CFL's 100w equivalent each. The "K" that LRG is referring to is the color spectrum. I mentioned it to you but not in these terms. Your bulbs are 2700K, This is a warmer spectrum and best for flowering. For veg it is better to use 6500K...
