    Ordering Pollen Online

Resurrecting this: Did anybody ever find a reputable online source for this? I'm certain there would be a very solid $$ market for grade AAA pollen. Just imagine being able to buy pollen from the best strains, without the hassle of growing males, and crossing them with your favorite ladies.. To...

    100 watt cfl's on seedlings

Interesting. It seems that on the internet one can find evidence for almost any belief one wishes to support - I'm guilty myself of taking the article I quoted as fact. There's an overabundance of 'experts' all over the net. A bit OT, but I suppose it's the nature of having so much information...

    100 watt cfl's on seedlings

Not true. This gets perpetuated quite a bit. It's like saying humans grow during their sleep - a myth: http://www.420magazine.com/forums/how-grow-marijuana/71067-do-roots-really-grow-dark.html

Where do you change that setting? I've looked in the control panel in my rollitup under 'subscribed threads', but can't see where that particular setting can be changed :wall:

nocturnal light cycle back to regular day cycles- any problems?

Quick question - If I've been running a light cycle (18/6) during the night hours (for heat purposes in an outdoor shed), then want to switch back to regular light cycle (during normal daylight hours) will it screw up the veg or flowering stages? Should I do it gradually or all at once?

That only shows all my subscribed threads, but it still doesn't show all my recent posts in threads I'm not subscribed to. They used to be there, but not anymore :-(

    LED's another take on things???

Besides the valid points mentioned above about evolution taking hundreds of thousands of generations to 'adapt' (these ain't fruit flies, mind you!) your argument is based on an assumption that current cultivars are somehow evolving to grow in so called 'artificial' light conditions...You seem...

anyone know of a temperature controlled shutoff?

try this for $35: http://www.luxproducts.com/thermostats/win100.htm very versatile - it can be programmed for any temperature setting - to cool or heat. I just picked one up for my winter shed grow to keep the interior above a certain temp.

    Weird Site Behavior.

don't know if anyone else is having this problem (I don't think it's my browser, never did it before), but every time I click on a multi page thread page for any forum, I can't get beyond the first page. It keeps kicking me back to page 1... Example: I go to Indoor growing forum, pick a thread...

    Why 18/6????

18/6 17/7 16/8 15/9 14/10 etc...etc... So at what point will flowering be induced? It can't be just a 12/12 cycle that will induce. Is it relative to the veg cycle you're using? So if I'm on a 24/0 schedule, perhaps as much as 16/8 will trigger??

Experienced Electrician! Here to Answer Any and All Growroom Electrical Questions

I believe on a 120V circuit you can run about 1800 watts PEAK on 15 amp. Probably safer to run about 80% of that at any one time.

How Much Heat Fluctuation Can A Plant Stand?

I've got a similar problem - growing during the winter in an outdoor shed. What I'm doing is running a space heater through a programmable outlet thermostat: http://www.amazon.com/WIN100-Heating-Cooling-Programmable-Thermostat/dp/B000E7NYY8/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_img_c this will give me a more...

Hello Everyone!! My 1st grow: 150W HPS semi-stealth micro cabinet

From what I have seen, you've got roughly a 2'x2'x2' coverage w/ 150w HID. Probably 1-2 plants comfortably. If you step up to a 250w, it goes to 3 cubic ft, or a healthy 2-3 plants. Rule of thumb is approx 8000 lumens per sq ft.
