Find your local hydro shop and pick up some proper nutes, ask them for advice. I would recommend Pure Blend Pro grow for veg and Pure Blend Pro bloom (comes in soil or hydro, depending on your setup). But that's just me, good luck!

Honestly, I would go with a low-wattage HPS light rather than a bunch of CFLs. HID lights actually produce less heat per watt (and lumen) than flourescents. Personally I bought a 150 watt HPS security light from Lowes and converted it to a grow light. I'm also growing in a small(ish) closet...

I switched to 12/12 five days ago. Tonight I inspected and beleive I see the beginnings of flowers. I'm fairly certain the plant pictured is female, but I'd just like some verification. I know the pics aren't that great, but what do you think?

I did, the CFLs run pretty cool, and aren't that close. There is also an oscillating fan blowing over them.

I'm not saying your advise is bad, but the plants are almost 9 weeks old, stand about 13-14" tall, and they're going to 12/12 tonight. I find it hard to believe they don't need nutes. I'll flush to see if there is any improvement.

I don't stick to a strict schedule. I usually feel down into the soil to check for moisture. If it's dry about an inch and a half down I'll water. Nutes every watering. I will say, though. They sometimes go 4 to 5 days without water before I feel they are dry enough, but I figured that's just...
