soil is fine, get yourself a 150W or 250W HID light for your cupboard.. then just get a 150mm fan & speed controller, this will keep the temps down.. most of the strains you'll get from seedbanks are good, however trainwreck, blueberry, white widow, cheese and the church are very popular...

this is more of a personal thing than anything else halides will veg better than hps, but the difference is marginal, advantages include less node stretching and added UVB spectrum, however HPS bulbs have a certain amount of blue spectrum in them already, this is more than enough to veg...

excuse my ignorance guys, just looking around @ different setups, came across this http://www.genhydro.com/genhydro_US/waterfarm.html i have pretty much the same setup, but the bottom pot simply drains either to the resevoir or to waste, skipping the holding of the water & the airstone...

just saucers is fine, pot sitting in a small saucer, then that sitting in a bigger saucer will give you some buffer as well.. you will need a timer that does minutes...

with the following two comments: Ph 6.5-7 Lightng-400w MH on veg 36 hours on 2 off just curious why you're running such a high ph, and weird light cycle, although the plants look healthy regards

my guess is ph fluctuation, check the mix you're using to water it, and check the runoff also.. you could try giving it a good flush with ph adjusted water, until the runoff matches the ph of your mix.. regards

hi guys, i've been having issues finding threads i've seen previously, by searching for keywords that were in the thread, whether i search from the main forum page or from within the forum itself, i always get no search results found. in the DIY section theres a post with duct in the title...

have you got them daisy chained? someone i saw on these forums wasnt entirely happy with the cooling of his tube setup, so he changed his setup around so each tube had a smaller fan and the 3 lights collected into a common exhaust into the filter, this worked alot better for him, obviously cost...

is he using organic nutrients? is the resevoir sealed from light? does he use any h202 in the mix?
