From what you've stated in you're post I'd say you've probably a victim of a ph fluctuation which has stopped your girls from being able absorb nutrients. I've have recently experienced this also. I'd suggest flushing immediately with clean water with a properly balanced ph to clear your soil...

Looks like the break in the stems isn't allow water to reach the top of the babies. I would suggest foliar feeding. Maybe misting and putting a hood over them for a bit so they can absord the moisture. Should help revive them.
