I don't use the "snap" method. In curing, leaving a stem attached would evenly distribute the moisture retained in the final product. No one I know bothers with this with the small pop-corn buds, which are often dried separately on a screen.

I don't know of any 4 week flowering-to-ripe strains myself. Most take at least 8.
