It'd help a lot if you could get your lights out temp down to around 60-65. Plants expect a 10*-15* drop when the lights are out, IMO. Cooler nights also may increase thc production. I'm running 2 600hps about a foot away from the canopies, w/oscillating fan sweeping across the vegetation...

Do you know your lights out temp? What kind of exhaust is available? I thought cfls allowed closer than 3"?
