You need as many Cfls as you can reasonably get around it. If your using Mirical Grow soild that could be a problem due to it has nutes in it already. Some people use with no trouble but most will agree not the best for weed. I think you are over watering and you need a little more light.

Thanks for the Props a 1000w can make anything look good LOL. The tube I assume your talking about is the duct work cooling the light? Blown in through the wall and through the light and out the other side. It exits the room through a window that is sealed behind the back wall.

Rockwool is a great median starter. I haven't had any problems using it. I would definatly recommend it.
