To make butter...do I need to dry the trim first?

Yeah, that makes sense. I'll dry it tomorrow. Thank you!

How dry do you want the curing room? PIC

thanks, guys. Went the 40 mile round trip to get a humidifier and switched rooms. They are at a nice 71.8 degrees and 45% humidity, MUCH better than the 85/32% I was seeing. Nice smell in here must mean it's working! :leaf:

How dry do you want the curing room? PIC

Allright, will see what I can do to go to plan B. I should have known it was too dry when our motorcycle gear wasn't getting moldy. ;)

To make butter...do I need to dry the trim first?

I just can't see an answer anywhere. All I see is dried stuff. I have about a cup and a half of trichy trim that I want to use to make cannabutter but I can't seem to find out if it needs to be dried and cured like "regular" bud. I'd like to cook it down tonight if I can, but mine is currently...

How dry do you want the curing room? PIC

Hmmm, well, I can move everything to another environment, but it would take a little more effort to prep it. but if making the process longer makes it smoother, I'd totally do it.

How dry do you want the curing room? PIC

OK, sorry to be a noob, but do why do we want to have this part of the drying go slowly? It it to break down the chlorophyll (sp?) or what? I need the "Cook's Illustrated" version of this - the why we are doing what we are doing before I get it. I get that we dry hanging to a bending point of...

How dry do you want the curing room? PIC

No problem! Damn, maybe I'll find another place that's not as dry. I could definitely put a container of water in there to boost it up, if that would work. Otherwise, it's perfect - dark and no one needs to go in there besides my husband or I. Also could be locked, another bonus. Any thoughts?

    ******* 2008 Outdoor Monster Thread ************

Good god, man! Look at the size of those plants! How do you manage to harvest all of that?!?!?! Is it a family affair or do you go down to Home Depot and pick up some day labor to help? Holy crap. My husband was tired of it by our little plant #2. Or do you have a "pick your own" garden (like...

How dry do you want the curing room? PIC

Hey there - I'm concerned my moisture level is too low where I am drying. It's currently 32% humidity and will likely only get dryer as the week goes on. Is there a humidity range that is considered best?

    Harvest Time: A Tutorial

Hey fdd - followed your tutorial and it worked like a charm. Once I got into it, the manicuring wasn't as scary as I thought. Thanks very much for your great guidance, oh great one. :peace: :leaf: +fdd rep for a great harvest!

First grow, in greenhouse, from bag seed

Today my husband and I (yes, that's right, in case you weren't paying attention, I'm a girl) harvested the first two plants to come "of age", Millie and Maime. Millie was the smallest plant as a little 'un; the runt of the litter. She did give it her all though. These two were the only survivors...

    Harvest Time: A Tutorial

This is exactly what I needed, thank you! Now if I don't blow it by harvesting too early or late, I should be all set. What if you still have some lingering spider mites? Can I hit 'em with air (from a compressor) to blow 'em off or just cut the fan leaves off that they are attacking? (They...

Fan leaves yellowing? 9th week flowering

Does the yellowing indicate a specific amount of time left till harvest and should I expect to lose those fan leaves and just have buds and their leaves? (Sorry, it's my first grow and I'm sponging up information! :) )

Fan leaves yellowing? 9th week flowering

Cool, thanks! So should I expect it to happen on the other plants too? And do I still only pay attention to the trichs to gague harvest?

Fan leaves yellowing? 9th week flowering

Hey there - Trixie's fan leaves are yellowing. I thought it might be from overwatering so I let her dry out as much as possibe and hoped she'd improve. She didn't. Now I'm thinking that she's probably just rootbound as all hell in her recyling tub. Her trichs are somewhat cloudy. I would like...

    Tric reading Q

I just got the Radio Shack one and it's a whole lot better than nothing (my husband and I were just looking at everything last night saying "WHOA!....WHOA!"). It certainly saved me from harvesting too early!

    Ready to Chop down?

I got one of those handheld 100x - 60x microscopes at Radio Shack last night - worth EVERY penny of the $13 I paid for it. You can see the trichs, tell if they are clear, milky or amber (mine aren't ready...clear to slightly cloudy) and it's so much better then just watching the hairs turn. Now...

First grow, in greenhouse, from bag seed

I took it off of one of the branches that snapped off Etta...I haven't splurged and cut one of the "real" buds off yet. I can wait it out. :weed:
