you should read some threads in the harvesting and curing....your weed needs to breathe its part of the drying and curing process allowing moisture to evaporate from the bud. sealing it up will keep the moisture in and with no air flow.....mold.

how much do water? i would also say put your finger down about 2 inches if you check anything short of that you are not giving your roots time to grow, since they will always have water on hand at the top. are they in a pot, in the ground, and what type of soil?
