Can anyone tell me if there is a way to sex these plants without flowering them. I think they are too small to clone from also. They are about 24 days old. Any help would be appreciated.

The Ott lights only produce 1100 lumens per 2' bulb and I was told these weren't good for veggin' plants which flower or produce fruit. My plants are about 2 1/2 weeks from seed and only 2 1/2" to 3" tall. I feel they should be bigger at this point. Maybe I'm impatient but I think I need more...

When you say white light do you mean white spectrum? :dunce: How high should I set my light above the plants? I don't want to shock them with the brighter light.

BTW. Ott lights are fluoro lights and are recommended for growing healthy plants. And I have been reading quite a bit, just not so much with lighting. LOL

Yeah, I have noticed that the bulb rattles. Not sure why but I guess I thought that was normal. Similar systems cost upward of $500.00 and I just didn't have that kind of cheddar at the time. We'll see what happens. Do you know where I can get a nice but reasonably priced CO2 injection system?
