a heat pad is a good thing.have the fan on a timer, not running all the time. i usually have the fan come on for about a half hour,about three times during the light cycle.

your local hardware store should have perlite. if they don't you can use other items that you might have close by. peanut shells, crushed up and mixed 40% with soil, or those packing peanuts , not the type that are made from starch , they melt in water ,use the regular styrofoam type, crumble...

IF YOU HAVE NUTES IN YOUR WATER , AND THAT GETS ON THE LEAVES IT CAN LEAVE A RESIDUE, USE CLEAN WATER TO RINSE THIS OFF THE LEAVES.BUT AT THIS STAGE OF GROWTH YOU SHOULD NOT BE ADDING NUTES.:leaf:

IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW CLOSE THE LIGHT IS AT THIS POINT, THERE ARE NO LEAVES TO ABSORB THE LIGHT YET....ONCE THE COTYLEDON LEAVES OPEN THEN GET THE LIGHT WITHIN 3 INCHES. YOU MIGHT HAVE PUT THE SPROUTED BEAN TOO DEEP, 1/4 INCH IS GOOD. GET A HEAT PAD, LITTLE SPROUTS LOVE TO HAVE THEIR BUTTS...

ARE YOU SPRAYING THE LEAVES ? Sometimes when you FOLIER spray a chemical residue is left on the leaves.
