Most nuseries or even home depot and lowes carries them. My setup is in a room located inside a basement (tool storage). Even with 3 doors to go through, those critters manage to make it in =)

    need help database

Hey man, Some suggestions that will help make your DB a little more scaleable... I would rearrange your table structure to something like this to make it more relational. tblSeeds: SeedID (int -- Identity -- Primary Key) Name (varchar(255)) SoilID (int -- ID that maps to a lookup table)...

    Timers going crazy !!

Some pet stores carry awesome digital timers. I have been eyeing this digital powerstrip that is completely programmable for each outlet (8 total) They are made for terririums. Some have a good power rating while others are made for light loads. Be mindful of their power rating, as our HPS's...

    General rules on transplanting?

Thanks for the reply Vid. That was very helpful info. I read your grow as well (you used the same pots I am for seedlings, but mine are clay), and it seems my test subject (I transplanted one to see what would happen) was transplanted too early. Its been almost a week and the water meter still...

    General rules on transplanting?

Yeah, I read through all those articles, some of them contridicted themselves. They were also semi vague in some areas. Thats why I posted the question. For instance, in one article it says when roots are showing at the bottom of the pot its time to transplant, yet in the next paragraph it...

    General rules on transplanting?

Hi all, I want to make sure I dont do anything stupid my first time around. Right now I have some plants in pots about double the size of the plastic cups I see a lot of people here using. They are about 2 weeks old now and are working on their 3rd set of leaves (it looks like the first set of...

A few ?'s for the cannabis Gods

I have a similiar system as yours. It's a t5 floro (FOUR - 4 foot tubes -- 20k lumens total). I had some plants like 2-3 inches from the light and noticed the tips of the leaves drying out and looking a little burnt (even though its only 78f at the top of the plant). I have since moved it to...

    room inside a room

Just a side note. I'm 90% positive police can search your garage without a search warrant. This is one of the only places in your house that you can be searched without a warrant. I think I read that in the security section of the FAQ on this site. Laws may be different by...

    transplant shock

When you transplanted, did you make sure to flood the pot with water after you did the transplant? After the water starts coming out of the bottom, wait 10 mins, then flood it again (this will saturated any soil that might of been missed a tad during the first flood process) Cheers, -bwbig

    My first potential Problem

Without proper drainage, the roots can get damaged. I would transplant the plants out of this tuperware container and pot them into some decent pots with GOOD drainage =) I believe you'll get root rot without proper drainage. I have a feeling doing if ya do this, your plants will love ya...

    Regular or Digital Ballast?

I was reading that some digital ballasts can emit high RF interferance that can cause radio/cable signals to get messed up? Read that it can interfer with cable causing the cable guy to pay you a visit? Is that all nonsense? The nearest neighbor's garage is about 150-200 feet away. The room is...

    Regular or Digital Ballast?

Yeah got room all setup and everything built. Put it all on a 20 amp breaker all to itself. The space is about 8' X 10'. I have a little 3' X 10' area I call the workshop (for planting pots, storing stuff, etc)... Each room is about 4' X 4' X 6'. Got little pullies hooked up for moving the...

    Regular or Digital Ballast?

Thanks for the info. I sounds like digital is what I want. I was thinking of going with a MH/HPS combo just in case I have nothing flowering and want to use that light as vegging (should I even worry about a duel system since I am going to have a T5 floro for vegging?) I'm trying to create a...
