Taste quality is well less then desired..

LOL, have you even grown with MG? It produces some of the most beautiful plants. His problem was testing bud too early, not MG.... While on the subject of MG, just make sure to add a little bit of Dolomite lime to the top of the soil and add half strength MG bloom food when she is flowering...

Taste quality is well less then desired..

Actually, anything above 20x is fine for viewing trich development. You want to get a good view of a lot of trichs in the scope, not just a few. And you are right, a scope is the only way to be 100% sure when to cut.

Can you OD with H2o2 (hydrogen peroxide)?

Do not use h2o2 on soil grows. Soil has beneficial bacteria that is needed to breakdown nutrients that the plant can intake. h2o2 is used more widely in hydro as a reservoir cleaner. You can also use h202 to sanitize equipment, used pots, etc. The 3% that you can buy at the store is sufficient.

    Drying Question:)

If you wait until the stems snap, you are not going to have a very long cure time. I dry for 3-4 days, until the outer part of the bud feels crispy. Then I move them to jars and use hygrometers. Rather than repost this information in great detail, check out my journals and look for the one...

BigBuddah, you come across as abrasive and condescending. If you run into a post you don't like, why not just move along? Insulting others on this forum is going to get you banned.

hydro guy with a stupid question about soil

Thats for hydro systems. pHing the water for a soil grow is a waste of time, it will not correct the issue that's causing the soil to swing base or acidic.

hydro guy with a stupid question about soil

That would be taking half of my advice. If you follow the full advice and monitor the pH of the soil, and make adjustments to the soil as needed, you can disregard pH'ing your water every-time you water the plants, as long as the water is not extremely base or acidic. Also, I don't worry about...

    leaves sagging

Checking PH every 2 hours will do nothing but give you a headache and maybe anxiety. Wanna know how often I test pH? Only when if I detect a problem with the plants, or once a week, mostly out of curiosity. The GH Flora Nova is a God Send for the water Farm. I rarely have to adjust pH at all...

hydro guy with a stupid question about soil

I found it's better to address the soil than the water. You can take and test soil samples with litmus paper or a pH kit. If the soil is acidic, add powdered lime, about 1 tsp per gal of soil, top dressed and watered in. If the soil is too base, use bone meal or an azalea fertilizer with...

    Nutrient Film Technique Water Recycling

I'm with slanty on this one. You can probably go longer than 2 weeks. You may also find a use for the water outdoors in flower beds, etc. I use a top drip and just keep topping the water off without changing it out, except for the last 2 weeks.

Need help with pc fan wiring

Best cord to power a pc fan is an old cell phone charger that you no longer need. Just cut off the end adapter and splice.

I think it's called Air cloning, not sure why, but here is a tutorial that may make it seem simpler than my warped description. :) http://www.learn2grow.com/gardeningguides/propagation/techniques/LearnHowToAirLayer.aspx

Thanks for reading my journals. It's nice to know they help someone, though I haven't been active here for nearly a year. I wouldn't stress much about the plants, they are young and you have given them the perfect environment. How old is the Kalash plant? and did you drill out the holes to...
