Running a 600 watter in that size space, I would definitly run an air cooled reflector or cool tube. Just pull the cool air from a cool room inside the house then exhaust it outside. You will also be able to get your lamp closer to the plants.

You called it correct. You will probably see the clay dust for a couple more res changes. Don't wory about a little bit of light getting into the res wile checking conditions. You just don't want direct light getting through the res all the time.

Looks like you have some nasty pathogens living in your cloner. I would dump it and clean the shit out of it with 35% H202. If you do get roots, it will attack them as well. I don't use a cloner but I add 65ml per 10 gallons of 35% H202 to my res every three or four days, and it definitly helps...

You can always add a speed controller (less than $20 from Harbor freight) to the larger fan. Having the ability to move the extra air when things really start warming up is allways a good thing. Cool tubes are nice, or any of the standard sealed air coolable reflectors would work fine.

Would probably work eather way. I dont use one so I cant say for sure.
