Yeh, regular bulbs are pretty hopeless but I was actually surprised that it made it grow (my friends always told me you cant use regular lights have to use fluros). Bought 2 more CFLs today so now I got 3 (2 x 6500K and 1 x 2700K) Damn that sucks about your plant, good luck with the next grow...

Yeh few weeks into my first grow. Indoor (closet), potting mix/soil, bagseed, single 24W 6500K CFL (just switched to it, started with an incandescent). Going to try and get a few more CFLs soon.

Some brands don't say the Kelvin rating (2700K, 6500K etc) they just say "Warm white", "cool daylight" etc. Higher Kelvin numbers are called "COOL" (5000K, 6500K etc) and lower ones are called WARM (2700K, 3000K etc). Make sure you check the entire packaging, my CFL had Cool Daylight all over...

haha mungin on doritos thomas232- I just put aluminium foil on my walls yesty cause i saw some pics where ppl were using it. I've heard the foil can concentrate the light/heat on one spot so it can give your plants burn spots but I'm using a CFL so that shouldn't be a problem? I dunno man...
