personal opinion: not smart, get a old pc tower and make a stealth grow box you'll get your 1oz for sure and use cfl's so you save money. mainly no growing should be done in an apartment i'm assuming it's illegal in your country, bug dudes come in and spray, landlords watch your energy bills...

mg is just frowned upon by organic growers mainly. i personally am all organic but i like the taste from momma earth. Try fox farm i heard its good just word on the street.

when it comes to lighting be ready to spend money flat out. i know you can do it for cheap but its not worth it. go to your local head shop and buy a 400 watt hps for a 100 dollar mark up normally. they upcharge but hey dude your getting it brand new and that day you can start growing.
