    Failing aero

Yeah - In the cooler months I can put my 600W HPS about 12" from the canopy. But in these hot months it's probably 24". I have an 8000 BTU AC that can barely keep it at 84 degrees

    Will this work

While that amount of calcium does bad things to pipes and faucets and such, it's good for the plants. Are you still using the pre-softened water? If so, you probably won't have to add ca/mg. Keep your pH in range and it should be available to the plants. If in a couple of weeks it starts to show...

    RDWC. 8 x 55 Litre system.

I just did this with my Under Current RDWC. With it being hot, the room air conditioned, condensation was forming all over the modules and pipes. Wrapped everything and no more condensation - and probably gave my chiller a break as well

Need Extreme help " Aero cloner " Root Nubs but roots dying off

You might be able to put the pump on a timer with alternating on/off cycles to keep the pump from heating up the solution

    Root rot/root pruning please help

Oh I see - it's an Under Current also. Have you been adding UC Roots every 3 days? Definitely dump the entire rez when you rinse off the plants. Get all the water out from the bottom of each module and the epicenter. You're going to need to clean and disinfect that system before you put the...

    Root rot/root pruning please help

Yeah, lets first get the specs on what your plants are getting, so we know how to help you correct it. Also, give us some decent pics of the plants, the roots and your system. I dove into DWC/RDWC at the beginning of the year - and despite my previous hydro experience as well as a solid science...

Switching back to hydro, help a bro out

Here it is - I made it very low cost and it works great. I'm also only using it for moms, so I keep it a little crowded. I trim the shit out of them daily or it'd be a total jungle. But the tubs are called plantainers at Lowes (I think) - like $25. I have them connected to the big tote with...

Switching back to hydro, help a bro out

I have a DIY ebb/flow that I keep all my moms in - and I don't chill the rez and I use Hydroguard. It's very warm where I am and it's well in the 80's in the tent, so I'm sure the rez is too.

Which would produce more DO in a DWC?

Yeah, I have all sorts of stuff run on a few circuits, and with the warmer months I've needed to run AC in my flower room. The damn thing trips breakers every now and then. That's why I split up the pumps - initially they were all on the same. Bad idea... I've balanced out the load better now...

Bit of crispy yellowness at end of leaf tips

It's too high ppm. Question - when you say 740 ppm - is that 500 scale or 700? 740 doesn't seem high for bloom, but different strains it could be.

Is this the beginning of root rot?

I had a pump tubing come partially undone for about 12 hours - combined with my lack of a disinfectant OR beneficials, root rot got a foothold in all 8 of my DWC buckets - that was expensive and time consuming to remedy. 2 of the plants were lost. It doesn't take NO oxygen - low O2 can cause it too

Clone leaves curing up at 2-3 weeks

The different shades of green striations on the leaves make me think that it's a pH issue. Did you pre-soak and pH adjust the rockwool first?

    New spots appeared

Are these plants outdoors? It looks like leaf hopper damage - http://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-leafhoppers ca/mg deficiencies normally start to look like rust "blotches" of odd shapes. These are all round dots like the ones left after a leaf hopper has sucked out the chlorophyll.

    Curling/twisting leaves

If you're using your water pre-softener - I wouldn't add ca/mg. It wouldn't cause the curling of the leaves. Under watering a "hot" pre-mix soil could possible do this.

    New clones drooping!!

If there is adequate moisture in your rockwool, it usually it just means that there is too much leaf surface area than the stem can take up. Unless it has gotten really hot inside the dome

    Curling/twisting leaves

Softeners exchange ca/mg for sodium. If you were able to use the water from BEFORE the softener, you probably wouldn't need to supplement ca/mg at all.

    New clones drooping!!

So, if you leave bigger fan leaves on them, they can't pull enough water through the stem to keep them fed. Trim the bigger leaves down by cutting away about 75% of the leaf. Just leave smaller leaves on the clones.

Slight yellowing of new top shoot growth

I don't see yellow tips... Do you mean that it's lighter green in the center? Looks good to me. New growth is always a lighter green

$1000 dwc budget need info plz

For your first foray into hydro I would steer you away from DWC and advise coco. It's FAR more forgiving than DWC and produces just as much and is hydroponic. I started last year with DWC after a 35 year grow hiatus. I have a degree in water treatment engineering - tons of bio, chem - you name...
