Yah I have it set to auto log in. I used the GUI in ubuntu System>Prefences>Session to add the script to start up programs.
The way I added the script to init.d is by placing it in /etc/init.d
$chmod +x my_script #Also ran chmod 755 later
$update-rc.d my_script defualts
I invoked the script...
I tried placing it in the init.d file changing my sudo file to allow me run it without a password but non of them work so heres what I came up with. Here is my script I simply added it the start up programs and viola done.

Thanks maccabee i'm going to try the init. thing to fix it. The problem is the script needs to auto run when the computer starts under a user account. The script must be ran as root and if I add the sudo command to the script it needs a password which kinda makes auto starting a program useless...
The relay board arrived Saturday I assembled it sunday (forgot to take pics sorry) I have to build a power bus bar to distribute the hot out 8 times to the relay board. I hope to get it all up and running this evening!:hump: Heres a pic of the relay board.
The circuit pulls about 9 mA so the led doesn't get really bright but it is very noticable. (actually I believe it is pulling 6.3 mA as you will have 2v across the LED and .7v across the transistor leaving 6.3v across the resistor which should give a current of 6.3mA a little low for an led so...

HPS or more efficient in watts to lumen output than CFL so if you using yield to cost to determin the best buy HPS light would get you more bud the CFL in dollars spent, but you really shouldn' compare 400 watt HPS to 800 watt CFL 800 watts of cfl is going to give out more light than 400 watt...
