Take them out of the drawer and off of that heat pad asap. Room temp is fine and it will only screw up the moisture content with it sitting on a heat pad. Put them on a shelf in the open air if you want good results.

Fruiting chambers are no where near sterile. Its not your tap water thats leading to mold, its lack of fresh air, fruiting substrate thats not 100% colonized, trying to improvise with 2 different growing methods, or all of the above. Why do so many people try and improvise when proven methods...

Nice pinset, especially for a first timer! They look good but make sure they dont get too wet, worry more about giving them fresh air. Expect those to be ready quicker than that...depending on your harvest preference you could be picking in 3 or 4 days! They grow up so fast...

Verm on the bottom? Properly prepared grains need nothing but grains in the jar. If you have water pooling in the bottom you prepared your grains too wet or are heating the bottom of the jars which create condensation and drips... Verm on the bottom of a grain jar is just asking for issues...

Just shake once around 30% colonized after the myc has become dikaryotic and it will finish a week or so after. Then one more shake after full colonization the day before you use it as spawn.
