The general rule I have heard is to put your hand on top of the plant for a few minutes. if it is too hot for your hand it is too hot for the plant. The 250 w MH could probably burn them if too close.

That seems like it should be enough for one plant. I am sure somebody will have some tips for ya.

I think I got it pretty well sealed up now. I attach a picture anyway. It is kind of a messed up space to have to grow in. but, its under the stairs or no where.

Thanks for the thread. I just got my 6" inline fan and it seemed really loud when it fired up. I am going to try the box idea.

Get yourself an inline fan from HTG - High Tech Garden Supply or some place similar. They will cost a little more, but they are designed for the job at hand. The bathroom fans I have seen are really noisy. maybe that's not a problem for you though. I like quiet.
